Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share a reloading recipe for nosler ballistic tip bullets for a .308 christensen Ridgeline fft 20" barrel ?

While I never owned a Ridgeline, over my career I had a Remington 700; Accuracy International; Hs Precision; and an M1A as Duty Rifles. All 308. Issued Ammo was Federal Gold Medal Match. 168 gr. My training budget was terribly insufficient so I Loaded a thousand rounds a year. As I recall I used either BLC 2 or Varget. Varget seemed to match the factory loaded ammo the best in the Remington 700 but the Accuracy International really preferred the BLC2. The HS Precision didn’t care, shot everything well as did the MIa.
The short lived battle rifle seems to be pretty dang easy to load for. I think you’d really have to have a weird rifle if it didn’t like either Varget or BLC2. I had my best results at about 2650 fps.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it!

I have a Nosler M21 in 308. My go to powder is Varget. 46.0 grs for both 150 gr and 165/168 gr BT shoots sub .5 MOA.
Remember to start low and work up!

I haven’t shot ballistic tips but have shot Accubonds.
My load for them were the same as JD’s, 46.0 grains of Varget.

Medium to fast burning powder is good for your 308 and matched with that shorter barrel. Typically your fastest powder in a standard barrel will still be your fastest powder in a short barrel. I have a couple Christensen's Ridgeline, FFT, Summit, Ar's.. I really like them and have good luck with them. If I was working up a 308 load for this rifle I would start with a 150gr bullet and varget. I like Fed 210M primers with that combo. In the 160's I switch to WLR primers but stick with varget still.

Varget is your huckleberry. Second choice would be IMR4064.
