Hoffman's Thins Pro Series Claw lug 14" pac boots: REVIEW

Have worn Hoffman boots for over 30 years, used to wear Schnees before that. The Hoffmans are the Premier Pac style boots and family run business ( brother n sister), unequaled C.S. they will take care of you. In an All leather hunting boot Russell's made in Berlin, WI are the best of the best...

    Filson quality is gone.....

I have one that is around 30 years old, used to be my go to for, early King Salmon fishing on Kodiak, in early spring. Old timers all said get a " double mackinaw" you will never regret it. That WAS true. However this is a very different coat at an astronomical price for folks that are all about...

    Filson quality is gone.....

My gosh didn't realize that the once great Seattle company is now having their best Wool coats , made In Vietnam!!!! So for $700 you will recieve a jacket made overseas that is NOT the quality your expecting. Horrible to see what is happening in this country. Don't buy one, you will be disappointed.

    Midways C.S.

Scotty I ordered the correct bullets Speer 100 gr, Sptz/ BT for $22 box of 100. Came out $11 cheaper than MWay..... Great value for a 400BC bullet in 257 caliber......

    Midways C.S.

UPDATE!!! I am now back peddling! I called an hour ago, asked to speak to a CS Supervisor; He politely listened to my story. When I got to the part about bullets being a " non returnable item" He stopped me and said " that isn't correct" he then told me how to simply go around anymore...

    Midways C.S.

That is a good idea Mike. I will try that approach. I got a bad feeling their system is against us now, not sure how many items are now non- returnable but, if they are you are whipped before you get started I think. If nothing comes of it, I think I will just wash my hands of Larry's outfit as...

    338-06

Mr Scotty..... Very nice to see you spending the kids inheritance money! And helping our economy. That is a lovely firearm, in a wonderful caliber! Have had half dozen hunters show up here in Maine, for a Moose hunt, with the 338/06. All of them performed flawlessly ( very similar) to the 35...

    Midways C.S.

This is NOT good news...... Have always had good luck with Porterfield. Not this time. I purchased 2 boxes of Speer 100gr BT 257 bullets to try on Coyotes on Friday. Upon viewing the tracking yesterday, I clicked on "order details" and to my amazement it showed they had ( by mistake ) shipped 2...

What's so Special about the 270 Win?

The .270 is the cornerstone of deer calibers, about a perfect blend for that body weight. And of course J.O'C. helped it along with his writings. However others tryed to discourage high speed small caliber cartridges! Old Elmer Keith said when asked about the .270............ " Ar it's an OK...

    Dad's Model 742

I have written about a hunter we had about 12/15 years ago. He was NOT a hunter but had inherited his Dad's 742- 30/06. His father had dreamed of hunting Moose in New Foundland for 30 years. Unfortunately he never made it. After he passed the sons kids put in for Maine moose permit for many...

    Strange find in 7600 Rem!

LoL, 🤣 Back in the day the guides used to refer to scoped rifles, as having a "TV set" mounted on top of the receiver! The worst was a set of " see thru mounts" those combined with a cheap scope/ poor eye relief; was one of the biggest ' buck savers' ever concocted. Only thing worse than a set...
