I've enjoyed my trips into that part of WA in years past. I still have great memories of a night in Index before driving down highway 2 to Leavenworth and passing Cashmere and on to Wenatchee. Lovely times with my family in years past.

I love the drive over Steven's pass. Climbed at the Cashmere crags once, pretty place. No wonder Led Zeppelin wrote a song about it.

It is a beautiful area, the northwest in general is: Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, western Montana, British Columbia... The combination of ocean shores, big mountains, big rivers and lots of public land... Pretty sweet area.

Washington's politics keep going farther and farther left, but my wife and I do enjoy living here even with the lefty politics.

Couldn’t agree more Guy. If we could shave the population about 30% and get back to some middle of the road common sense this place would be heaven.

Thank you for that clarification. Tragic whenever an individual is forced to apologize for the voting public that concentrates in the population centres. We struggle with the same deficit here in British Columbia.
