Picked this one up. Henry All Weather 357 Maggie/38 SPCL

I shot one of those quite a bit a couple of years ago. Liked a great deal! The 357 mag loads were picking up about 400 fps over what a 6" 586 S&W revolver would produce. Accuracy was decent, though I didn't do any serious tests, just plinked steel with it for the most part. Easy to carry, easy to shoot. Good looking little rascal.

Enjoy!

Nice Fotis, a bang around 357 lever gun is on my list when I can find one at a price I like

I have some Matt's bullets 165 grain hard cast with gas check. I got up to 1400 fps in my TRR8 S&W 8 shot 5" barrel. I then lowered it to a more sedate 1250 fps. Those ought to work nicely.

That gun is pretty high on my wish list. Be interesting to see what you think of it after some use.

Holy smokes Fotis. That's stacking them right in there.

Well I took her out on father's day. What a fun gun! Shot 125 XTP's well under an inch at 50 yards at over 2000 fps with 17.5 gr of LILGUN. But the star of the show was this load.

That had to put a smile on your face.

I consider myself a lever fanatic. I actually have a dedicated safe to nothing but old Winchester lever guns, it's a Winchester 44 and it can't hold anymore guns in it haha. My oldest one is a Model 1873 from the year 1888 in a 44-40 (44 WCF) all the way up to a 1894 made in 1997 in that safe. I look for odd calibers more than old ones though.

I could go on forever about the levers, but I really like yours. That is some great shooting. Out of the three Henry levers I own, I kept none of them stock. I can't say I've had any shoot a .17 group though! Very nice shooting.
