Nosler Announces 22 & 25 Creedmoor Brass

Even a 125 ABLR and a 130 AB would be pretty darn nice!

I am fine either way (y)

The AB is such a good bullet...IF, they just add some weight to it (To raise the BC) OR do a redesign (Still a AB), they could own more of the market.
More and more guys are shooting fast twist 25's: 25x47 Lapua, 25 GT, 25 Creed, 25-284, and the 25 PRC keeps growing in popularity.
I am looking forward to see what they come out with.

Hopefully some one will put out Data for the 25-06 and 250 Savage with the heavier bullets too and some 110 BT or AB's. CL

Nosler will have 25 Creedmoor Load Data this fall. They are currently working on their new range facility. They are also going to look at the feasibility of producing a high BC bullet.
Stay tuned fellas.

I know this is probably still a ways from becoming real, but for deer and antelope, the 134 ELD-M is a killer-I already know this.
I still want something more for bigger/tougher animals.
I have several fast twist 25 specialty pistols: 25 Creed (Being built currently), 25-284, and 25 PRC.
I have always loved the Quarter-Bore, and now, Finally barrels and bullets are available.
I will probably go with a mono of some kind for elk like critters, until a good bonded bullet comes out that has some reasonable BC for reducing wind deflection downrange.

I qoud like to try a 125 game bullet in my 25-'06 with 1-9-1/2 twist Brux barrel. It shoots 115 BTs very well.

Well, I finally got my Nosler 25 Creedmoor brass. Cost was $97 CDN/bag of 50.

Been doing more research on this cartridge.
Looks like a 7.5 twist will be needed for the 125-130 gr bullets and 1:7 for the heavier bullets (133 to 138 gr). Hoping Nosler makes something in the 125-130 gr class for hunting.
Hornady has now announced their 128 gr ELD-X ammo. 2850 fps for this bullet with a BC of 0.633and a SD of 0.277. This carries 2166 fps to 500 yards with 1333 ft lbs of energy and a drop of 39.2" from a 200 yard zero.

As a comparison to the 130 gr Terminal Ascent in my 6.5 CM with a 24" barrel, the 130 gr bullet at a velocity of 2855 fps with a BC of 0.532 and a SD of 0.266, carries a velocity of 2104 fps to 500 yards with 1277 ft lbs of energy and drops 40.3" from a 200 yard zero.

That gives a slight edge to the 25 CM; higher BC, higher SD, better retained velocity and energy, a little flatter shooting, and will provide slightly better penetration, all equals to a slight edge in on-game performance.
Will a deer or an antelope at 500 yards know the difference? Probably not. (Not that I have actually ever shot a deer or antelope at this distance)
Will the average shooter know the difference? With less felt recoil; maybe, if they are recoil sensitive. (Not that I am recoil sensitive...but my wife is and she would enjoy shooting this as much as she enjoys her 250 Savage)
Is it cool? You bet! It's a quarter bore!
Do I want one? YES! 😎
So yes, this will be on my "New Rifle for 2026" list!

Do I rebarrel the 308 next year? Thinking about it 🤔...after our trip to Africa...would go with a 24" 1:7.5 twist barrel.
Or do I get a LH Proof Research Elevation 2.0 Lightweight Hunter? Perhaps 🤔...it has a 22" 1:7.5 twist and weighs about 5 lbs 14 oz. Costs $3199 USD.
Thinking a Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x48x444 illum B&C Gen 2 or a Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44 L-Ballistic i BDC MOA scope would be mounted on the rifle.

What would you do?
