Good morning, all! I'm here as I boasted, "I can find you this gun." The soon-to-be fiancé is the love of my life, and he mentioned last night how he would love a

NOSLER M21 .33 NOSLER BOLT ACTION RIFLE, GRAY SPECKLED BLACK - 41021

As a newcomer to this scene, I thought it would be easy. As you already know, it's not!! I have clicked on so many websites all "out of stock"

Do you know where I might find one? It would be amazing to gift him this. (I know he'd have to purchase it and have it sent to a FFL place) Im a fast learner.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum. The 33 Nosler is a fantastic round. My wife has a 30 Nosler which is another excellent round.
You might want to call Nosler and see what they say. Maybe get timing and put on a wait list.

I found one 33 Nosler at Guns international. It is however a mdl 48, not a bad choice. As to your claim, I would say you’re off to a great start so would all the gun cranks on this forum. Now, if you send him to Africa for his birthday next year you’ll be in rarified air for sure. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I agree with Jim (JD338). Contact Nosler directly and see what they say. They may be able to put one together for you.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your search.

Follow up question. But first. Thank you for all the positive responses.

I found a M48 Nosler 33

What’s the biggest difference between the two rifles and would he be happy with the 48?

I know. I’m crazy to think I can buy this without asking him!

The 21 is an over-all up grade from the 48; trigger tech trigger, barrel, action and stock. That being said the mdl 48 is no slouch. Most would rate it as a very fine rifle. Likely good enough that 9/10 shooters could not do better with a different rifle.
I”m sure your fiancé’ will be delighted. Well done.

Which M48 did you find?
My wife has a M48 Mountain Carbon in 30 Nosler and a buddy has one in 33 Nosler. They have a carbon wrapped barrel and weigh in at 6.0 lbs. Excellent shooting rifles.
Were you able to get ahold of Nosler for timing on a M21 in 33 Nosler?

Welcome to the forum!

As previously stated, he should be very happy with a M48 in 33 Nosler! (Sounds like he's a serious elk hunter?!?)
And the fact that you are doing your best to get him this in time for this season's elk season should tell him volumes of your dedication to him and your pending life together! Regardless, he should/will value this gift for a lifetime.

If not, you might have to rethink that next step... 🤔
All kidding aside, you are off to a great start!(y)(y)
BEst of luck in your quest!

My wife has bought me a firearm or two over the the past 15 years we have been together...and I am keeping her around!
(Although she has managed to wrangle a beautiful shotgun away from me in that time, and is still trying to lay claim to my 6.5 Creedmoor she used to take her Arapawa rams with in New Zealand a couple of years ago!)
She even took me on my red stag hunt with that trip to New Zealand...but to be fair, I took her to get her sable in South Africa last year!
