Posting for a “friend”. Always make sure the rubber spacer is in place on your Magnetospeed chrono. They will come off in the case. Who knew?
You see, my “friend” didn’t make sure and found out that Partitions are just as deadly on the sensor as they are on game. Luckily neither the bayonet nor the bullet came apart, just an imprint of the jacket and rifling from the bullet down the bayonet. On the up side, my “friend” picked up a new Magnetospeed V3 to replace it on eBay for $120. Lessons learned.

Congratulations to your "friend". Glad he was able to share his experience with us...I mean you.

That rubber spacer is a pain on my MS Sporter. I’ve noticed over the years that it is sliding more on recoil , thinking it is hardening.
At least your “friend” escaped any injury.
