If the 80 gr TTSX doesn’t fly , you may want to take a look at the crown for damage. I doubt that is the issue if jacketed bullets fly straight.

80 gr TTSX could be your Huckleberry. 87 Gr Speers are common lately but they are lead, Anyway, they do work well in this one. It has a 1in 14 twist. Havent tried 100 gr's in this one, Factory core lokts are a 2-3 inch group. but not key holing. CL

That 80 gr TTSX is deadly on deer sized critters. I run them in my #1 RSI in 257 Robert’s.

Welcome to one of the nicer forums out there.

I had a similar problem with a 30/30 when I put a new scope on. Hadn’t played with it for a bit and went to sight it back in. It started keyholing and I couldn’t work out what was wrong. Turned out I was ricocheting the bullet into the target. That may be a remote possibility too to consider.
