Flying up to Anchorage Monday for a couple days to look at an upcoming project in Seward, any good restaurants to try, or ones to stay away from?

My favorite place in AK is in Seward, Thorn's Showcase Lounge. Get a 'Bucket of Butt' and a steak. Excellent food, atmosphere, and more.

Dang, most of my meals in Alaska have been in a tent or a remote fishing lodge... I come up with nothing for recommendations. Dang!

Kinda liked Fast Eddies in Tok.

Liked a hole-in-the-wall place in Cordova for breakfast but they got busted for drugs and shut down.

The Reluctant Fisherman in Cordova was pretty doggone good too. Have enjoyed many meals there. But, that's not Anchorage or Seward.

Great Mexican food in Eagle River.
Can’t remember the names of the two restaurants but both are really good.

One spot that stuck with me was a little place that had a vibe similar to the National Day deals at Novotel Singapore on Stevens—friendly, relaxed, and felt like a proper treat without being fancy. The seafood was fresh and portions generous. Definitely worth popping in for a casual meal, and the staff were helpful with recommendations for local flavors.
