Went out yesterday to Shirley Basin area. After a little chase stalking and looking I potted this guy.

One shot 357 yards.
22 Creedmoor--- I built this one myself
88 gr Hornady
38.8 gr Reloder 16, 3205 FPS.
26" 1"7 twist excaliber barrel, fully freefloated and bedded in B&C stock
It now wears a MAVEN 5-30x50mm. I can not say enough nice things about this scope.

Nice shooting Fotis! Looks like that 88 did the deed!

What did you think of the bullet?

Scott:

I was shooting from a slightly elevated position. He was not aware and just feeding. In one side out the other. Easily about a 2" baseball sized exit hole. Inside was soup of course. Striking velocity was 2650 fps or so.
Excellent bullet, great accuracy and BC but in my opinion it is just the ticket for antelope and smallish deer only. I would not use it for a trophy mule deer hunt for instance.
Just my opinion...and that and 2 dollars might buy you a cup of coffee! LOL

Congratulations Fotis on your Antelope. Beautiful speedgoat and rifle. It is a shooter for sure.

Looks like a great day for you! Thanks for the note on the scope as well, I have been considering trying their optics out.

Wyoming based company that only sells direct to save you money. Mil/LE discount apply.

Great glass and tracks true. This shot I dialed in 3.25 MOA and one shot.....

@FOTIS ,
Congrats on the antelope!
That was kind of a chip shot for you, but I take whatever distances come to me as well.
Much wind that day?

That’s great to hear you’re out in the field and having fun hunting again FOTIS!

I’m planning on building a 22ARC/6.5 CM combo bolt gun. Glad you reported the results as I wasn’t even thinking about using a. .22 for big game on smaller sized animals and why I’m doing a switch barrel.

Good buck too!

Congrats Fotis on the antelope. Harvesting game with a rifle you build is a fulfilling reward.
