Had a vehicle accident this past weekend.
Go into the hospital for stitches in my face and get told I need a pacemaker.
Walked out because I’m asymptomatic and on meds to keep my heart rate down. This hospital is famous for unnecessary procedures so their Quacks In Training can get experience doing certain procedures. Told the bloody quack I was about ready to throw her out the fourth floor window.
Have an appointment with a cardiologist I trust in a couple weeks. I asked the ambulance to take me to a different hospital but they refused. Walked out this morning after taking my own IV out. Africa is on hold for now and waiting to see what a real cardiologist says.
At least I’m ready for Halloween. 🎃

The saying goes something like this:

"50% of all doctors were in the bottom half of their class"

I'm just joking so no disrespect to anyone in the medical field. Where would we be without you?

Damn.

I don’t BS my cardiologist, neurosurgeon, or orthopedic surgeon. The rest I tell them only the most pertinent information. If they don’t ask I don’t volunteer.

My Dad was a patient, and my mom is currently, at UofM Ann Arbor which is a far left community. They have both been asked the following questions...
Do you feel depressed?
Do you feel angry?
Any thoughts of hurting yourself or someone else?
Do you own any firearms?

I have never been asked any of those questions.

Yeah, I got that bovine fecal matter too.

I get those questions every time I see one of my doctors. he last time I saw one was this last Thursday. I looked him in the eye and asked, "What do you think? You see me just about every two weeks and ask me the same questions and I give you the same answers. Do you really think anything has changed?' I go a kind of blank deer in the headlights look. We'll have to see if he got the message on my next visit.

Those are standard questions across the country. This is because suicide with a firearm is one of the highest causes of mortality in the country in all age groups and especially youths.
They are trying to catch common problems before they reach that point. Same reason they recommend colonoscopies and mammograms-prevention is far better than cure.
Gentlemen, please relax. The world is not out to get YOU. Some of them actually want to help you. As a paramedic for over 20 years I see things in a much different light than some of you do. . .
