Anyone useing one? What brand, how many heat zones., how's the battery life?

My wife bought me one last Christmas because I get COLD all the time. The vest has 4 zones IIRC, back, neck and front near each pocket. I wore it for the first time last week. With a touch of the button, he vest goes on high for 5 minutes and then lowers to a medium setting. You can change from high, low, medium with a touch of the button. I left the vest on medium for 4 hours. It kept me warm and there was still battery life left when I got back to the lodge. A full charge takes 6-8 hours so it's best to charge the battery over night between uses. If you test the vest in the house, you will immediately think it's too hot, but that didn't translate to outdoor use.

I was impressed with the vest warmth and the ease of use.

My wife uses a Milwaukee vest. I personally have never used any of them but she gets cold easy. She loves that thing. We bough an extra battery pack, when we do an all day sit, somewhere around early afternoon (2-3) she swaps the battery out to get the last few hours in. It goes 3 different levels on heat. I think she leaves it on about 2 most of the time and it works much better if you put a windbreaker type of jacket over it, then your outer layer over that.

It was an Amazon purchase which has 100 competing products. It's very hard to tell one from another but reviews are helpful. Here is the one I have:

ORORO Men's 4-Zone Heated Fleece Vest with Heated Collar, Lightweight Heating Vest with Battery

I actually just bought a heated vest for my wife for Christmas. I got her a Oroco and an extra battery pack.

I’ve been using a heated vest for the last couple of seasons, and honestly it’s been a game-changer in cold weather. The big thing for me is battery life, some of the cheaper ones barely last a couple hours on high. If you end up getting one, make sure it has a decent mAh rating and preferably a spare battery option.

Wearing an Action Heat at the moment. Elements in chest and upper back. I wish it had elements across the kidneys. IDK if its supposed to happen but the battery pack gets as hot or hotter than the elements. Maybe needs a new battery but its only a couple years old. Main gripe is that the battery resides in a side pocket. I wish it was wired through the chest pocket. It would balance out easier. All that said, the vest itself fits me well and I like wearing it. # heat settings are nice. Not too much bulk. CL
