Are the .358 200gr Accubonds really gone?

Wow! Thanks for sharing chuck I really appreciate it! I have a nice stock pile of 180 speers and tac. I will definitely start a little lower and work up to your load. Looks like a winner to me!
Same here, I just opened a box and have 4 more full, I'll get more when I see them.

Originally, I was leary of them at 358W velocities, but they've done very well on hogs.

Nice. I think I have about 400 of them. I suppose I’d better start working on them soon lol. Yes from my understanding all of the Speer hotcor line, seem to be fairly tough bullets! Wish I could get my hands on some of the 220 hotcors for elk. I’ve seen them on gun broker here and there but I just don’t want to pay that much.

I have been using the 250 Partition for my 35 Whelen for years here in Alaska, though only one decent sized black bear to its name so far. It's moving at 2650 pushed by RL15.
I really want to stick with it, but have been looking for the bullets since Biden took office! Any hope for a batch of 250's?

The 358 250 gr PT is indeed a great bullet in the Whelen. Nosler just finished a run on the 358 225 PT. It's my understanding that they are going to make a run of the 250 PT and also 375 260 & 300 PTs
As a side note, the Speer 358 250 Hot Cor has a profile almost identical to the Nosler 250 PT. Even at your speeds, it will hold together and penetrate deep on the biggest of game. It's a nice alternative for hunting, target shooting and load development since they both hit to the same POI.

Another side note:
The Speer 250 came out on 'top of the list' from a study done in Canadian guides about 20 years ago, on Moose killed with 35 caliber rifles. So the terminal performance of that bullet collected from hundreds of Moose, simply put to bed any theories that a better bullet for Moose/Elk sized game exists: is likely a figment of someones idea that their favorite brand or style of bullet ( cost) would make it a better bullet.......... and that my friend turns out to be horsefodder! Not ment to hurt anyone's feelings, but the solid facts collected from the Canadian study is really unchallenged.

E,
Do you have a link you can provide to the Canadian Study?
