Saturday evening I carried a SBH custom built by Larry Crow. Pretty cool gun. Octagon barrel, Jim Stroh front sight, Millet rear, free spin pawl, action work, Taylor throated, .0015" cylinder gap......the list goes on but a cool piece I was sent for review. I literally got home with it, sighted it in and headed to the woods. I had to thread the needle to make a neck shot. About 25 yards. Dropped in its tracks. Taking it again in the next few days. I drug it out of the jungle to get a pic.

I normally handload all of me .44 Magnum ammo but since this gun was sent for a review and article I shot several loads in it. The ammo I used on this deer was the Winchester 240 JSP "Deer-Black Bear" ammo. Pretty accurate ammo.

'Flex - you have said good things about the 185 grain Nosler JHP at 45+P pressure (or 45 Super level) for deer. I'm sitting on at least 1500 of them and the accuracy is wonderful!

If I'm out deer hunting and see a wild hog is that bullet up to the job? Or better considered as a whitetail bullet? I can load something heavier for hogs.

Thanks, Guy
