2026 Rifle Plans

I will tell you i asked to see the prodigy when i had the kimber in my hand and it took me less than a second to know the kimber was the one.
I carried my Kimber in with me and compared them side by side. I also looked at a Springfield TRP in 9mm but didn’t like that little cut off angle at the bottom of the grip/mag well. Maybe I just need to look for a Kimber with the optic cut slide. The hand wants what the hand wants no matter what advertising/marketing tells me when I have cash burning a hole in my pocket. At least I get to spend more time browsing the gun section.

No plans on buying any, but I'm reducing the safe inventory. Got rid of my Browning A bolt 338WM and currently contemplating sending my WBY Vanguard 30-06 Sporter down the road.

Are you referring to the Weatherby 307 action? The 307 action is based off the Remington 700 action so you will have many options. That's going to be a sweet build. Post pictures of your project as it progresses.

Turning 40 this year so I'm going to make a precision 308 win in an M40 style package. PTG is selling a blueprinted 307 hybrid action for a great price, figured I'd start there and get to parts collecting.
You’ll have plenty of time to gather up parts as I learned last year with PT&G. They have great prices on the Wby 307 builder action , but plan on waiting. I was thinking on ordering a Vanguard barreled action in 257 Roberts , just couldn’t do it.
I hope you can receive yours in a timely manner.

In the process of having a 223AI built now, for a combination practice rifle and coyote rig.
So far I've got:

Bartlein Mod B 1:7.5 .224 24" fluted Sendero profile.
Impact Precision 373R
Manners MCS-LRH-SC Sport Comp Stock
TriggerTech Diamond
MDT M5 precision bottom metal.

Barrel is being installed by GA Precision in KC now.

I'm sort of in a holding pattern now on the optic. Barreled action should be done in MAR and the stock APR. The biggest holdup is that the Leupold MK5 HDs with the PR2 reticle that I want are currently out of stock with Leupold and have been for a while. So I've got some time to sort the optic out.
Have you tried to find that scope at CS Tactical? They tend to have that reticle line in their Leupold’s.

I shipped off my next and final project last month after a 8 month wait on having the MCS-EH6A stock get made.

This was kind of years in the making. I won a 50% certificate off on an Impact Precision 737R back in 2020. After receiving it, it just sat in my safe for years. It was only last year that I began to put the project in motion and had to order a bolt for it in a Grendel/ARC Bolt face which only took a month.

This is going to be a switch barrel in a lightweight package for hunting in 22 ARC, and a 6.5 Creedmoor.

Bartlein .224 SS # 3B 5R 1:7 twist finished at 20.5” threaded 1/2x28 TPI timed to a Surefire SOCOM MB for a Surefire suppressor.
Benchmark .264 SS #4 1:8 5 groove Button Rifled 9/16x24 TPI finished at 22”.
Trigger Tech Rough Diamond.
Hawkins Precision M5 Hunter bottom metal and the Hunter Magazines that are designed to run the ARC/Grendel and 308/Creedmoor in the extended version.

Everything will be bedded into the Manners Elite Carbon EH6A stock in Black Forest camo.

I bought an Alpha Munitions 22 ARC Reamer and sent it to Eric at Blue Mountain Precision to use. He’ll be using one of his reamers for the 6.5 Creedmoor with a .296” neck and .170 FB.

Back in 2024 I bought the Creedmoor components when I finally decided to move away from the 260 Remington. I bought a SAC Modular sizing die and mandrel when SAC had their only annual holiday sale, a Redding Competition Seating die, and Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor LR brass for the project. (For hunting I prefer to use a Large Rifle primer for consistent ignition in cold temperatures.)

This will wear one of the S&B Klassik scopes that I have been using in 4-16x50 and/or a 3-12x42. Both with the P3 Mil-Dot FFP Reticle that I love using for hunting conditions. Both are seated into Area 419 Hunt Rings.

Hopefully I won’t run into issues with the 20 moa Picatinny base on these scopes as they are not designed for a sloped base.

I’m most excited to see how the 22 ARC handles the 80+ grain bullets that I have on hand and how well it preforms? I also have some Speer Gold Dot 22 cal 75 gr bonded bullets that I’d like to use.

The 6.5 Creedmoor will be easy to load for, and if I travel overseas easy to find ammunition for as well! Super important for that reason and why I chose that particular cartridge, and went back to the 30’06 too.
