Nosler Solid Base bullets are back

The Solid Base bullets are great bullets for deer. I've used the 308 165 SB in a 308 Win and 6.5 140 SB in the 6.5 Wby RPM to take WT deer. Both loads also shoot .5 MOA.
I will use the 140 SB in the 6.5 Wby RPM this spring on TX hogs.

I'll probably buy a box to try in my 7-08. Found them at Midway for 26 bucks. I wonder if they are a little bit "tougher" than the 140 Sierra GK's. The GK is a great bullet but can be just a tad soft, depending!

I can’t remember, been too long.
Do they act more like the old BT’s or new BT hunting, concerning expansion?

The solid base is a tougher bullet than a sierra Game King. I observed this by taking numerous deer in south texas with both bullets. Mainly the 140gr at 7mm rem mag velocity and the 130 gr in 270. I eventually went to the 162 gr solid base in 7mm for less damage. The 162 gr Solid base 7mm is my all time favorite bullet. After a good trade I have a lifetime supply for my mag.

I've shot the 140 GK in my 7-08 for several years and they work really well at 7-08 velocities with minimal meat loss. Ive never had any desire to shoot 140 gr GK's in a 7 mag due the velocity design limitations with the GK bullet, especially at closer ranges. I shot either 150, 154 or 160 gr bullets in my 7 mag, mainly 154 gr
