I bought back the last 243 Winchester I had owned previously. It is a Husqvarna. I had bought it from my deceased friend Ron's wife couple years after his passing. Killed three deer, Grandsons Brandon and Landon got their first deer with it. Friend Scott he wanted it so I like a dummy sold it to him. He traded it to friend Chilton who never shot it, just left it in the case. Setting at my reloading bench looking at the grandkids pictures got me to thinking about it so I asked Chilton if he'd sell it. He said yes,I bought it and now back home. Four friends have owned it. I'll keep it this time and pass it down. Plan on shooting it myself though 😁 Here is pictures of my grandsons and me with deer we had taken with it last time I owned it.

The first deer I ever killed was in Greene County GA with my dad's Sako L57 in .243 Win. I believe that it was made in the mid-fifties. 1957 would seem pretty logical I suppose... I won't part with that rifle. Those are some great pictures and look like fun memories.

Great memories!! Love those full stock rifles. Every now and again we all do things that we regret, however, Im glad you had the opportunity to rectify that mistake.

I got rid of a Browning many years ago that I regret more than anything but like smoke through a keyhole, it's gone forever with no hope of EVER getting it back

There are a number of rifles of nostalgic significance I have sold over the years. Most I wish I had hung onto. Glad you were able to get the 243 back.
