Super Bowl Stats

I like how it compares the two big events. I’d be curious if anyone shared actual stat breakdowns, since that could spark some fun back-and-forth between fans of both sports.

I like football, use to anyway. I grew tired of the pros remained a great fan of college football and now with the current trends in college football, kinda giving up on that too.
Regardless, we got nothing in this country that compares to Rugby in South Africa. Those folks are nuts. I had the opportunity to play rugby in college back in the 70s, great fun but good lord the game as played by the South Africans Springboks or the New Zealand “All Blacks” is amazing.
One day last week my PH gets a call from his 4 year old son. We happened to be sitting on a ridge looking for Cape Buffalo. PH puts the lad on speaker phone, chuckles, “you got to hear this” The boy is seeking permission to play schoolboy league Rugby. The lad explains he is really quite good on the pitch. The kid is pretty articulate for a 4 year old. Mom gets on the phone. Apparently the Pop Warner version of Rugby spotted this Kid terrorizing boys a year or two older with his tackling and running playing back yard rugby. They had no idea he was only 4 and had appologized for planting the seed. The boy will have to wait. Took it in stride asking at the end of the conversation could he play when he was 5.

I've heard that the last UK game was played to a packed stadium. I suspect a lot of that is the novelty of it, but the NFL is making a concerted effort to expand into other markets.

The NFL pretty much showed us the only thing they care about it making more money with the last half time show. The game is just a side show to keep the money machine running. With the recent changes in college football it is almost the same. I will be joining a group of friends for one game this fall and after that I am pretty sure I will be done with football.
