Taken this morning from my patio while enjoying a cuppa coffee after dog and I finished our morning walk. Mama and I have been working to improve the backyard so that more bees, butterflies and birds will hang out there. It's working!

Caught the bumblebee at the crepe myrtle yesterday morning. Olympus OM-D with the 100-400mm Olympus telephoto lens. It has a "close focus" feature which produces results similar to that of a macro lens.

A pollinator garden will attract all kinds of insects and song birds. We have 3 native wildflowers and grasses gardens totaling 1 acre surrounding our house. The birds and wildlife provide a show seen from every window.
