seems many of you are a traditional stock shooter with a few xp ( @xphunter ), but how many would acknowledge you own at least 1 AR/MSR! i'm way past 1 and building more in the AR10's than AR15's due to getting chambers in short mag cartridges is F-U-N! i mentioned that i was somewhat impressed with the 338fed and was looking to get the 338RCM (out of stock), but ended up with 300saum at this time. if action/receivers weren't so darn expensive i'd build as many of those as i have AR's. not counting PCC AR's i only have 4 cartridges that fit into the AR15 platform (5.56, 6.5gren, 6,8spc & 300bo), but the AR10 is a world apart and will continue to grow into more cartridges.

for now these are what i have in the AR10 platform
22creed
243win
25creed
6.5creed
260rem
6.5prc
277fury
7-08rem
7saum
308win
300saum (just ordered yesterday)
338fed

I have a AR-Pistol in 223 with 2 uppers (7" and 15.9").

I also have a AR-15 carbine, also in 223 Rem.

I have an 18" barreled 223 Wylde chambered one but have hardly shot it. Also have a nice 11.5" barreled rifle with an EOtech for work that shoots pretty well. AR's just don't do much for me and I don't like chasing brass if I can help it!

Those AR's in short mag cartridges are certainly interesting though!

of the 3 short mags i've only shot the 6.5prc for function testing. brass lands close so no need to search and muzzle jump (the way it's tuned so far) is so very little i can keep eyes on target at 10-15 yards and see hits. i still have some work too do on it like reducing buffer weight from 9.6ozs to the 5-6.5oz range. buffer is so heavy i can't adjust the gas block enough for the carrier to run faster.

I have one , a 223 . I bought it when Obama was in office , and the talk was out about them being banned . I'm sure I paid too much during the scare . I also bought dies , bullets , 2 cases of ammo , and a few magazines . I have not fired it . it came with a red dot , and I've not even mounted it . it's tucked in a closet , still in the box . I bought it thinking , someday I might one , and maybe won't be able to buy it . to me , it's the least interesting firearm , I own .

Here in the great white north, they were a restricted firearm, so we could only use it under permit at a registered gun range. We could not hunt with one or take it out into the field.
I was originally mildly interested in one if I could get it in the 338 Federal...but never really pursued it. Be a great camp/bear defence rifle, powerful enough for g-bears.
Now they are prohibited, so we cannot even acquire one if it was of interest to us.

Guess I have always just liked the look and handling of a traditional rifle stock...I haven't even really looked at acquiring a chassis for a bolt action...although I can see and appreciate the appeal of the folding stock for strapping to your pack when mountain hunting. Been through enough alders to know how it is trying to keep your barrel from snagging on overhead branches!

Enjoy your rights to do so while you can!

I have one, because everyone should have one but they aren’t my thing. I also bought each of my daughters a lower for Christmas one year so that they could always have one as well. The year VT banned AR mags over 10 rounds I put 30 round P-mags in their Easter baskets before the law took effect, so they’d have them.

I have a Colt in 556. That’s it. Use to have a couple of 450 bushmasters up in Alaska but sold them when we sold the lodge.
If I were to be foolish enough to go back to guiding up there I would get an AR-10 in 338federal if I could find one.
