Sounds like an interesting idea, but $6.99 is more than I think I would want to pay for something like that. I would like to have something to show my wife how valuable my hobby really is!

What are your thoughts on the RCBS app? I had not heard of it until I read your post. I checked the app store but it must be really new as there were no reviews. Sounds like an interesting app that I would find useful.

I have tried to explain how it is not my fault but she believes in strict personal responsibility. I have also not had any luck convincing her it is a illness that requires kind and loving treatment. She thinks I should go cold turkey.

Terry,
I was an F-16 Crew Chief and spent time in AETC as an instructor and had a great job in Test & Evaluation. Good times! Did you have to get a waiver to retire? I did but it was pretty easy since I was in the top 3 and they were not short of desk jockeys.

A Ruger #1 is still in the running but they are not the easiest rifle to locate especially in the desirable calibers such as the 300 H&H. They are great for us left handed shooters who are tired of rifles that only come chambered for a small number of cartridges. I have a 1B in 6mm Remington I...
So far you guys are doing nothing but making my wife nervous! I like the Montana action but am intrigued by the thought of an inexpensive donor action.

Ok all you experts, talk me out of having a 300 H&H built on a left handed Montana 1999. It is all about the cool factor as I do not need one. I want a 30 caliber rifle and everyone has a 30-06, 300 Win Mag, etc. I have the brass and dies already like a good loony and just need something to...
Get it! Since I shoot left handed I had one made on a left handed Model 70 and even though I am not that great of a shot that rifle is accurate. I shoot 125 gr Partitions in mine.

Kyle,
I loaded up some 120gr Sierra's pushed by 42.0grs of H4895 for my brothers 12 year old daughter. The rifles was a Marlin bolt action, don't remember the model. She scored a nice 6 point with it and had no problems with recoil. I used the same load out of my Encore to kill my first deer...
57.0gr H4831 and 140gr Accubonds works great in my Rem 700BDL. For years I used 130gr bullets of various makes and 59.0gr H4831 but this load beats it hands down. I don't have a chronograph or a fancy bench to shoot from but at 100 yards offhand the 140gr Accubond load makes a visible...
There is a section of the new bill that pays for people to go to vocational schools. I retired in 2002 and was not covered under any other programs. I came from the VEAP era and it's a long story! I am currently attending a community college and based on my retirement date they will...
264 mag,
My father has a pre 64 Westerner and I recently discovered it has a short throat also. I loaded some 140gr Gamekins to the OAL in the manual and they turned out to be too long for him but fit my rifle perfectly. My rifle was made from a 338 since I am left handed. I have been...
