I shoot 55gr nbt's out of my savage 110 223 and get one hole groups with 28.5 gr of blc2 and it shoots just about everything under an inch. Jon

My velocities have fallen off a bit with 4831sc in the last few years, 3095 in the 300wm with 75 gr to about 2930 and really cant stoke it much more but still shooting great groups. Fwood

180 gr npt or nab with 75.4 grans of 4831sc or 78 gr of 4831sc and a 165 npt boom dead.

I have had the same problem, I bought some Nosler brass and it is ok. I found one lot of 2000 but it was a bit too pricy for me. There is some at times on gun broker but it is expensive as well. It seems like a dying round. I like mine though. Jon

338 rum is a big hammer. I have only shot two animals with mine, an Alaskan Bull Moose and a Rocky Mountain Bull Elk. The moose was at 98 yards on the range finder and the elk was 364 yards I think. Same result one shot and dead critter. I have had the same results with my 300 and 270 on other...
