Using the LeverRevolution powder, what is your pet load and bullet in a lever action.
I am restoring a 30-30 my wife's grandmother used and hope to shoot it some day.
Thanks
WM
Let us know what you find out. I have the same bullet & powder but with 55g of IMR for a mid '80's Rem 700 30-06 that I love. Not sure what happened, but the 100 yd groups are now over 2". So off to the bench I went and came up with a 180g accubond with 53.5G of IMR powder combo and now its...
We clean our 'loaders about a week before our season opens. Once cleaned, we snap a cap through it to make sure its gonna fire. Then run some bore butter down the tube and put some electrical tape on the muzzle and nipple.
Been working for us for about 20 years like that. BTW, we use Hawken...
Or how ever you say it? Man, I feel like an addict needing a fix. Only two more weekends and our bow deer season opens and one week after that, hello Mr. Bugle
Here's to brown and down
My -06 did the same thing this year. I checked everything and come to find out it was the scope. That was confirmed when I got the feedback from Leupold. Somehow, someway something broke in the scope.
I was bummed and glad at the same time. This is the first time since '83 I have had a...
Nope, its been around for a while. Its just the first time I have driven one in a production vehicle. I am not a big fan of the F-150's as that is all we had growing up on the farm and yours truly got to do all of the repairs on them. So I guess I am jaded, but this thing might just change my...
Hi Gerry or others. I never used a drop tube, so what is involved with this process?
On a side note, there is a box of 50 pretty 225G partitions sitting on the bench
Thanks
WM
I had my POS Dodge work truck go into sickbay again. While it spent its two weeks there, I was issued a Ford truck with the Ecco boost. At first, I thought, well this is great. I get to drive a granola mobile thinking it was a Prius type drive train. Was I wrong.
I spend most of my time...
Ok guys, I got the little soldiers all cleaned and dressed up but they have no where to go. I tried to find some 225g accubonds, but no dice. I normally would buy locally, but they are out and have no idea when they will get more.
Notice I said 225g  I am going to let him decide...
For me, its my 300 RUM. Its like a bad date I can't get enough of
Me and my gun have a love hate relationship. My wife's 300RUM, purrs like a kitten and never gives us any gruff....go figure
Thanks a lot guys. Good info. I am really trying to persuade him into the 225g partition or AB. Any words that I could use to help him understand the difference between the 200 and 225g bullets for his intended use?
I will get some range pics, but our range is national forest. So you may...
Howdy, I am not versed in this round, but was asked by my wife's uncle to reload some for him. He is shooting a classic Rem 700BDL. He plans on shooting no more than 150 yards. He wants a 200G bullet. He has shot four boxes of superformance 200g SP and likes that round. So Hornady once...
Thanks guys. I have access to about 8 lbs of RL25 and multiple pounds of HL1000. Retumbo has been my go to but its scarce and I am not digging the fact I will have to buy singles from different lots. A local guy has used RL25 in his 338 Edge and prefers it over Retumbo. He could not say how...
I went for a ride yesterday. Its an area I have frequented many seasons before. I go here because it is the spring range of the herd I hunt. This is also a great place to shed hunt. This is the first year I saw no sheds. I saw no elk, and only a few does. What I did see is a carcass. I...
