I've had mine since they were introduced a couple years back. Nice little pistol to stick in a pocket when you don't want to/or can't holster up a bigger gun. They are not fun range guns to shoot. The recoil hurts from the small size and blowback action. Ammo is expensive.
I'm not bagging...
Thanks everyone, he was still talking about it today.
I'm thinking of framing the picture, and then on the bottom attach the .243 casing he shot it with to the frame. Is it possible to engrave a rifle casing with a date?
Bear with the long read please!
My 10yr old son got his first deer yesterday! Not sure who was more excited, him or me! This was the 4th person I've sat with while they were shooting their first deer, always thought it was neat but this topped it by far 8)
We hunted in the morning next to a...
I've heard about the tight throats, but I read somewhere that recently all of the new .45's out there have new dimensions and will chamber all .45 bullets. This seems to be a pretty versitile revolver, looking forward to getting one!
Looking at getting a Ruger blackhawk in 45LC. Was contemplating getting the 44mag, but 45LC just sounds better to me! With the Ruger, is there really any downfalls to getting the 45 instead of the 44? Some of the load data out there makes them fairly comparable. I also like that it has a...
I carry my T/C contender in 30-30 when rifle hunting just in case I can get a close shot. One deer has been dropped with it. One day I would like to trade my brother my bolt gun for a day and use his Marlin to take a deer with. Nothing like holding and carrying a light lever action, just...
Depends on what and where I'm hunting. This past doe season the spot I hunted was 15 minutes from the house and it was a 200 yrd walk in to the spot I hunted. I carried the 4 rounds my rifle holds. When I'm actually driving some place to hunt and will be gone for a full day or more I take a...
Out for an early October doe season and my buddy and I both got some does. We set up pretty early well before shooting time sitting on a dam overlooking a lake in some tall grass. My buddy laid down to take a nap while we were waiting. Around 620 he hears something moving down the trail...
Like richracer, I had a local gunsmith do my NEF .223 a few years back. He did a great job, but when I sent the gun back to get a .500SW barrel added they adjusted it back to factory spec and dumped all the lead shot out of the stock I had in there :x
I buy the biggest fattiest beef briskets I can find on sale at walmart throughout the year and grind 50-50 deer-brisket. Course grind the first round and medium grind a second time through. Outstanding mix, tastes great.
Got the load worked up and shot them today just for pressure signs and function in the G31.
Started at 10.8 grains of Power Pistol with the Sierra 95gr FMJ. Went by .2 grain increments up to 11.6 grains. 1.140" length.
All of them shot fine and the 11.4 - 11.6 loads were fine also but showed...
Will do! Just going to find the fastest load I can get worked up for now and then we are going to wait until all the snow melts and gets a bit warmer.
We are thinking hard barriers would be neat to see. Some thicker gauges of sheet metal, we are going to have access to a huge piece of bullet...
Thanks Pop! My account had something go wrong with it and the admin just got to my new log in.
A question about the info. If I was interested in the Power Pistol load am I reading correct that 11.6gr would be a near max load at @1785fps? This looks to be about right for other info I have...
