I am using them right now in my .30-06 with RL17. I am getting pretty much bang on 2900 fps in a 24 inch barrel. Will be trying it with the E-tips as well.
I have a new Chargemaster. It is very accurate and I have had no problem with any of the powders I use. As per the previous post, it is definitely faster than the older model and the Lyman I tried. Thumbs up on this unit.
The easy way around all of that is to get a friend in the US to buy the product for you and then ship it privately via USPS. Do not use UPS as they charge for brokerage.
jdmadson480.....................while I do not shoot any 7mm at present, I have used the Accubonds a bit on other calibers and, like you, have been very pleased with the accuracy and their field performance. To date I have used them on elk, a few deer, black bear, a few caribou and moose.
No...
POP..........you are exactly right. I shoot a .340 Wby and the little woman shoots a .338 WM. With the 225 or 250 Partitions or Accubonds you are good for just about anything you will ever want to do with them and that would obviously apply to your Lapua dwmslu.
smitty...................I am new here. I have been hunting for over 40 years and I have done a lot, been a lot of places, seen a lot of things. If there is one thing I have learned...............people ARE stupid, stupid, stupid. What's worse is they are getting even 'stupider' (bad English but...
Alan, among other things I am a guide/outfitter and so I have hunters drive up here all the time and they can bring bullets with them. Might be able to get some brought up in the spring if you want...........then ship them to you in AB.
The .260 Rem. is a very good cartridge and I just can't...
pacer............no I didn't break any laws getting those E-tips. I can't help it if I have friends in the US.
Took a course at Olds College. I live in Manitoba now, but spent 10 years in AB and BC before that.
I'll let you know how they shoot in the New Year.
guy..............the...
Guy Miner...............I also have used the Barnes unleaded in my .25's with good results. I almost feel guilty though when using them.............I have a feeling of loyalty towards Nosler as the first bullets I ever loaded some 35 years ago were Partitions and I have been a big fan of their...
Alan.......................yes with the E-tip I am hoping for something in the 110 grain size for the .257's and hopefully it won't be the next decade before they arrive.
Just got some 180's to try out.
Where do you live in AB?
Kelly
pacer97............yes it is coming. Don't forget the .257, .338 and .375 cal. bullets .........heck we need a bunch. Introduction is rather slow, at this rate of one bullet per year I am afraid they will be scattering my ashes before I get E-tips in the other calibers I need.
JD338............does that actually work where you live? It sure doesn't here as we are way too outnumbered. If the politicians and media get together they will convince the general non-hunting public, the masses of well intentioned but uninformed, of whatever they want.
I don't mean to sound...
Well boys sadly it is an international issue and it is just one more way for them to get at the 'small arms'. There is actually an international body that is working towards banning the use of lead in bullets globally and Canada and the US sit on it.
They will just pick away at us a little bit...
RemmyTim.................I am glad to hear that there was indeed a way around the resident/non-resident licencing issue for him. I figured there had to be.
Whelenator, you will enjoy your time in Montana. When I go south to hunt Montana is one of my favorite places to visit.
whelenator...........hey, info on Montana from a Canadian yet. I am surprised that as a member of the US Armed Forces you would still be a non-resident when stationed there!
Anyways......you are fairly close to good hunting for whitetail, mule deer, pronghorn, elk, black bear. No grizzly season...
