Ive used the 154 gr SST in a 7mm Rem Mag quite a bit for deer and pigs and it works very well with complete pass thru on most shots. I do not have any experience on elk. None of them running around the bayou!

With a 16" barrel AR, using 25 gr AA 2460, I get 2860 fps with the 64 gr BSB and good accuracy.

Not to be nit picky but it is 6.5 x 55 Swede. I have a CZ 550 FS modern rifle in this caliber and load 140 gr NBT's using 46 grs VV N160 with excellent results. I get about 2650 fps and right at 1" groups and have killed several very good bucks with this load. Hope this helps Regards, Jimbeaux
