    .277" 95gr. TTSX - Surprising results in a 270 Winchester

That's a pretty amazing load. Hopefully Johnly has taken some game with it since starting this thread.

    Weatherby Sheridan, WY

Would be a wonderful place to visit. Expensive too lol. Hard to go wrong with either of those options but I would look at the 6.5 Wby RPM first. Pretty much a 264 WM in performance and will shoot flat without the issues of the bigger magnum 6.5's.

Whatever happened to wildgene that started this thread? I always liked reading his posts. Looks like he hasn't posted since 2018.

    Thompson Center coming back

You don't see this type of video very often showing the behind the scenes of a brand coming back to life again. I found it very interesting. Would be really fun to be able to go through all the prototype firearms they worked on over the years. Who knows maybe some of them will make it into the...

Hunting Over the Past 10 years:

Just get Gavin to hook you up with some of those new fancy bullets he likes to use. Or just keep on using those 115 gr blue cyclones that work so well!

Hunting Over the Past 10 years:

That's a good list Guy (and others too). Looks like your 25-06 will be itching to get back into the rotation soon. Got to keep them all happy so they don't complain.......

I’m from the Government and I’m here to help!

In the thread I started about the Jasper fire I mentioned the Adam's Lake fire on the north west side of Shuswap Lake last summer. That's pretty much exactly what they did too. There was the initial fire quite a ways in the bush so no immediate threat. In their "wisdom" they started a control...

@DrMike doesn't even think about putting on a toque at 10 below ;)

    Jasper fire

I like the town of Jasper much better than Banff and it's sad to see what happened to it. It will take some time to rebuild. We will have to see if there's any shady land grabs coming in the aftermath like what happened in Maui.

    Jasper fire

I thought of you DrMike when I heard of it and know it's a special place for you. I hope that there is some accountability coming for those who were negligent and allowed this to happen. In our new town of Sicamous there has been a fire above us since the 18th of July. The fire service has done...

    Jasper fire

https://tnc.news/2024/07/27/former-jasper-official-federal-mismanagement/ Like is usually the case these days theres much more to the story then the government and media want to tell you. This fire was totally preventable but the ideology of Parks Canada wouldn't let them do anything that...

.300 WSM 150 grain Corelokt Tipped

Nice, slip one of those into the ribs of your elk and you'll be cutting your tag quickly.

Saving my 250-Savage- is it worth it? Talk me out of it.

Glad you got it up and running again and it sounds like it was reasonably priced too. Those are some fine groups, hopefully you'll be able to try them out this fall on something. Congratulations on finding a solution to get it all fixed up again.

    Colt M1877 Antique

Don't know anything about the revolver but what a nice piece of history to inherit. What is it chambered in?

    sako

I think @FOTIS has one. I would sure love to get one of them one day if I could find one that was reasonably priced.

    WTF????

As a Canadian and looking in as an outsider it's easy to see why they would try something like this. They (globalist elite) can't control DJT and they know he will expose them for what they are. In the end it wouldn't surprise me if some of his so called friends were in on it too. Nothing but...

    165gr Partition vs jugs

Classic Partition performance. There's not much I wouldn't shoot with those 165's. I would happily hunt anything in North America with them.

The guy in camp who snores

That would work! I suppose these days it could backfire in a way Frank might not have liked though.......
