They made this model in .22 short also but are very rare, mostly for Gov use.
I shot one that the barrel was also a silencer which had no markings and was a backup carry gun for a CIA operative,
His primary carry was a Hi Standard which was also a .22 short and the barrel was a silencer. Both...
Thanks Fotis for the offer.
It is a used rifle that I don't know it's history. It's been in the back of the safe for over 5yrs and I should get it out and see what my notes say it was doing. I might even have a few post on here about it that I can dig up.
Way back when I was told you could only use 3/4" scopes on rimfire rifles but bought one of the first Ruger 1022s that I could find and put a straight 6X40 1" Bushnell Banner on it. It worked great and had no problem shooting gray squirrels out of treetops or ground hogs out to 100yds with it...
You are getting that Beautiful rifle zeroed in Fotis and it looks like it will shoot as good as it looks.
My 300Win still sits in the safe unused since I couldn't find a load that it or I liked with 180gr or 200gr bullets.
Maybe I should try some light for caliber bullets in it below 180gr.
Since I have had to change my diet due to surgery recently I have been looking for low fat meals and this sounds like a good one . Thanks for sharing Guy.
In the past my chili recipe has consisted of fresh ground beef, onion, home canned whole tomatoes and homemade tomato juice...
Scratch my head trying to remember the name of the Trophy and the match that the military used to hold with England that they shot out to 1000yds with the Sharps and the Remington Rolling block rifles.
Not shore but Palma or Palmyra seems to stick in my mind.
Those rifles were fitted with false...
1911's will work with just about any magazine unless it is a custom target gun with a hard fit barrel and bushing, then the old standby GI issue will work with just about any ammo.
Most problems stem from magazines releasing the ammo too soon causing a failure to feed.
I drill out my pistol dies seater stems to seat on the shoulder of the SWC lead bullets.
I would put the stem in a vice and drill the seater stem a little deeper using a drill bit that is a little larger than the bullet tip. Make sure not to mess up where the o-gave contacts the stem.
Anytime my friend.
I almost had J.E.S. rebore the M70 I used for the 35AI to 338-06 but couldn't escape the call for something different.
Got a good M70 Classic in 338WM so I have my bases covered.
Just did a check at the Hodgon reloading center page and since your loading light for caliber bullets there is some interesting date there. 3000fps using BLC2 and 2900 with CFE223, H332, Varget and others.
Hey Scotty just a little something else to consider with adjusting your POI.
Though I'm use to shooting black powder muzzle loaders I found by adjusting the powder charge for intended range of shooting worked great to change the elevation.
I had my target load and then I had my hunting load...
I had one in 300Wby that I won in a raffle that shot great after I put it in a decent stock. It came in a cheap poly stock that wouldn't hold epoxy bedding and would shoot loose.
I also had a Ruger 77 Hawkeye in 338Win that did the same thing that came in a cheap plastic stock. Put it in good...
