Thanks everyone for the info...... gives me alot to chew on....
BTW...the Intro to this cartridge was written by Bob Nosler..... nice to be home with my library.
OK...I was going through a box of junk and found a bag of mixed brass I had collected up some years back. OK... a couple decades ago.
Anyway, in this mix was a 300 H&H mag.
It's shape intrigued me. So I pulled the Nosler book and lo and behold, there it is with intro to the cartridge by one...
Man...this is a tough one for sure.....
But I'd have to keep my Browning Micro-Hunter in 7mm-08.
I actually bought it to shoot NRA High Powered Rifle Silhouette and did well with it. Load developement is Sub-MOA, reduced recoil, with enough downrange energy to remove a steel ram off it's...
A friend posted this on Facebook....
It does have possibilities....
QUOTE: The Rogue features a 6-shot magazine that accomodates all shapes of .357 caliber bullets perfectly, whether they are the Benjamin eXTREME Pursuit flat nose or hollow points, Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets or your own...
RiverRunner..... the only way you might get 'torque' on the barrel from bullet spin is in shooting a bullet heavier then the rifling twist will handle. And I certainly doubt that Model 70 is unable to handle 75 grainers.
My Ruger 77 in 257 Bob hates bullets under 100 grains.
I agree with...
Good to hear ya having a good time........
Ya know ya gonna have to tell about the miss now that ya mentioned it.... ;)
Besides....anyone who never misses isn't hunting.
When I bought my Vanguard in 243....I picked up Weaver Bases. Package noted for the 700 and the VG. No problems with them.
When I got the Weatherby Predator, they were out of Weavers so I bought Millet. Never could get a scope to bore sight with them. Bought a Evolution 20MOA 1 piece base...

One thing I noticed from the attached video is that skill is not an important factor. Even the bottom man from any graduating class at a sniper schooll will not have that much wobble in his scope.
From this video it also appears they are testing...
Hunting Texas piggies is or can be a hassle. Landowners are starting to understand just how much money can be made putting on hunts.
And there is very little public land in Texas to hunt on...and it's all down south. And their laws concerning private property are getting tougher.
Here is an item of interest......
The Sesame Street folks have told the obama people to stop using Big Bird in their ads. They are taking the stand of Non-support for either candidate.
$500 is a decent price.... and according to my bud in Kansas.....mags are not easy to find.
Bump it too $600.... gives ya a fall back to 5 if it doesn't move quick enough for ya.
Try GunBroker.com, it'll give ya a ball park value.
I have a good friend, retired LEO that carries one..... he really likes the frame and action. So much he bought a 1006 off me last April.
Shoot that puppy and see if ya like it...... it's not a 1911, but it works.
