Not the answer you are looking for but did finally get a chance to play with IMR new 4166 with the 22/250 and am very pleased with it. If 4451 and 7977 Are as good as 4166 I'm sure they will become mainstay on my reloading bench.
Wondering if anyone has tested and worked up loads in a 7mm RUM with the 168gr Nosler long range accubonds? I have RETUMBO, H1000 and IMR 7828 on hand would like to use the RETUMBO as I have 8lbs of it.
Just wondering if anyone has played with the 175gr Nosler Partitions in 7mm rem mag? I have a remington 700 sps that I am trying to get theses things to shoot a little tighter. I have worked through rl 22 and was pretty disappointed and I am Now onto Retumbo. Anyone know how much jump these...
I know his dad is a gunsmith, so he knows how to load. I do know the rifle was a weatherby vanguard with a 24" barrel, I do not know what the velocity was. That's same year I know he got drawn for moose and he switched to 200 grain Nosler partitions and found both them in the moose, maybe it was...
Well my 7mm rem mag has a 26" tube, I'm also shooting 100 yards or less give or take. So if at muzzle I have 2900fps, at 100 yards I wouldnt be that slow. Is a shoulder shot or lung shot better with a moose
I'm thinking you meen 160gr accubond? But if That's the case I have used the 160 accubonds before with great experiences, on white tail that is! Im just wondering if I should happen to have something with a little more controlled expansion? I know it comes down to shot placement, but I don't...
Forgot to mention this is in forest and shots will be 100yards or less, so looking for really controlled expansion, I have just heard some bad things about the partions at 50 yards with little to no penetration. Had a co-worker last year with 30-06 put three 180's in bull elk before it slowed...
What's Everyone's favorite bullet to use in the 7mm Remington magnum for moose? I am pondering a 160gr in a swift a-frame! Is there any difference in performance between a a-frame and nosler partition?
Just got my Sendero back in 7mm rum from the doctor, she got a customized sporter break! Can't wait to start pumping Retumbo and Accubonds down the pipe!! :P
When I had my 7mm rem mag, it sported a 26 inch tube, 700 action and price tag that was under 500 bucks, it was a used 700 sps dm  . I worked up to healthy load 70.5 gr of retumbo with a 160 gr nosler accubond as well. It was a deer slayer, flat & hard hitting. I Chronied these at 3100 fps...
Don't get me wrong I love the Nosler Accubonds and have Used them in my 257 weatherby mag, and 7mm rem mag.The only one I have found to date was a 160 grain out of my 7mm rem mag at 3050 muzzle velocity and weighed 106 gr for total of 66% weight retention. Hornady claims 90 percent and was just...
Just bought custom 7mm rum, got some 160 grain Accubonds and ReTumbo to try but was also wondering about some Hornady interbonds as they claim to hold 90% weight retention. Also was wondering about 150 gr e-tip for all purpose from deer to elk, moose, but wondering what others who have this gun...
Bought my 257 Weatherby magnum in a Weatherby Accumark half a year ago. Just had first hunting season with it for white-tail as thats all i was drawn for this year. I used to shoot a 7mm Remington Magnum with 160gr Nosler Accubonds which was a deadly combination. Shooting this 257 weatherby...
yes i have the right clip, It is a very short clip indeed. I know must all other 270 s that i had reloaded for are hinged floor plate and i was able to have an OAL of at least 3.340" plus.
