I use 8208 and Benchmark in a Tikka T3 light .223. With a max load of benchmark, I can get a 50 gr Blitzking up to 3,344 FPS. With 8208, a max load with a 55 gr Blitzking gets me up to 3,167 FPS. Both at max loading produce very accurate results.
I know the bullets weights are not the same...
I have two Remington .243 ADLs with a 24” barrel and a 9.125 twist. They both shoot the exact same load of:
- Winchester Brass
- CCI 200
- 41.8 gr H4350
- 95 gr BT
This load is above book max so do not try this load without working up to it.
This load shoots under 3/4 MOA in both rifles.
What do you think an extra 2” is going to achieve in the field? Run some drop charts and look at what little difference there are at hunting ranges?

I just did it as well this season. I shoot targets from 50-1250 yds consistently. I practice all year and then I miss an 80 yard shot on a nice buck. I attributed it to rushing the shot and slapping the trigger. I know better; However over-confidence got the best of me. I rather a clean miss and...
I ordered a battery powered air mattress pump (Intex 06C from Amazon) and will use that combined with vinyl tubing and a Hornady modified case to stick in the chamber. This I’m hoping will cool it down quicker.
