Vince, you sure have been through stormy seas, but you came through it. Maybe beaten and battered, but a survivor non the less. I got divorced last year after 23 years because she never figured out that I like my wife how I like my coffee.....Without someone else's d**k in it. (a little humor...
Good work! Congratulations. Several tasty meals, for sure. I tried, but all I accomplished was to give one a 50 cal belly shave. No blood just two hands full of white hair on the ground. He's probably still running.
Sigh, I have a partial upper and the top part that rests against the roof of my mouth got bent. I have an appointment next week to fix or replace. But today I sneezed, and the bent part made a beautiful hen turkey cluck. :sneaky: Boy, the looks I got from everyone in the shop. Quite obvious...
Y'all are right. I had to take a pic with my phone and blow it up to see it, but there is a very slight crimp. First time ever reloading Hornady brass from their ammo.
I got some Hornady 350 legend brass from some retail ammo I shot. When I went to seat CCI primers they actually crushed trying to seat them. on a hunch I tried some win primers and the same thing. Thinking maybe my primer seater was out of round or something, I grabbed a piece of Win brass and...
Been tinkering with this for a while. It's a double-sided call. A full size 1/2 blasted crystal on the top with an etched turkey track in the crystal. and a small slate on the bottom. Man, that little slate sounds sexy! soft and sweet. The top is capable of a full range of sounds and volumes...
congratulations. sometimes things don't go as planned. I'd bet all of us has experienced and unplanned rapid disassembly of deer. I once muffed a shot on a small buck and hit him dead in the ham with a 180 core lockt from an -06. it took a perfectly round grapefruit sized chunk from his ham.
It’s absolutely possible, But only once 😉.. Even using something like one of the Absolute Hammer bullets that generate impressive speeds, I think it cant be achieved. I’ve never found the 7-08 lacking much in the energy dept for the game I use it for. Deer, black bear and hogs have all...
Has anyone used the new design grand slam bullets on game? I was gifted 220 of the 160 grain 7mm. I was thinking of loading them in the 280 Ackley for hunting. I read a lot of folks trash them since the redesign, and some love them. Too stout for deer?
Nothing dramatic, just strolled in at 75 yards about 20 minutes after legal shooting. 10 point WV public land. Also the new meat pole is getting a workout.
Sunday dinner before WV rifle season opener. Everything from the pit boss. TX style brisket, scalloped potatoes and baked beans. The brisket went 14 hours in hickory and post oak.
We finally got tired of fumbling around with meat poles made from whatever we found lying around. This time we sunk two schedule 40 iron pipes on the ground. The crossbeam and pulley attachment rod are welded steel. The pulley slides along the rod at the very top. The stainless steel meat hooks...
Don’t be afraid to give that ABLR a long jump to the lands. I would start no closer than .075” off, but I bet you’ll end up being closer to .100” jump. It can be a fussy bullet to get to shoot well.
Took several hours at 225 to get pull apart tender. But it turned out very good. Not as juicy as pulled pork, but not dry either. I like it lightly sauced so I can taste the meat, smoke and rub, the grandkids like it dripping with sauce. Put on slider buns with pickled onions. In the future I’ll...
