47.5 grs AA3100 & 130gr Accubond is my favorite load in my 700 Titanium. 2900 fps and pretty decent accuracy for a rig that tips the scales at 6 lbs scoped :)
Varget/RL15/IMR 4064 is about as slow burning as I would go in the 338F. In my Sako I preferred H4895 to anything, except Benchmark with the light 160gr Barnes TTSX. I mainly shot 210gr Barnes TSX & Sierra 215gr BTSP
another couple weeks go by without Nosler 260 brass.................my Titanium 260 is getting mad at me because I am not shooting it..... :?
I shoot 200 gr TSX over 81 grains H4831sc for 3000 fps avg in my 24" 700 Remington. 250 grain Woodleigh weldcores over 80 grains RL25 does 2750 fps. Ive pushed the 250s to almost 2900 fps with no overpressure signs...but back off because recoil gets pretty wild!
great cartridge
I had a 25-284 built on a SA 700. It'd do 3175 fps with 110 gr Accubonds & h4831sc, and real accurate. Great cartridge..just doesnt do much a 260 Remington can do. I like the 6.5mm's a bit more
25.6 grs Benchmark was my load. Did 3/4" 5 shot groups in a 700 LVSF I had. 3250 fps in the 22" tube. Killed 4 coyotes and a wolf with it, kills them dead but exits.
