Tac just might be the go to powder for these two cartridges. Handloader Magazine just had an article and loaded both to there bolt action potencial. The 338fed being new is there already but 200 grainers at 2700 fps and 225's at 2500 fps for the 358win thats moving. Its a good read shows its a good 300yard round and may be more. "Not just your dad's brush gun"

Another cartridge that needs +P loads (358win). So my loads must be very safe for the shooter, not so for the target.

Can anyone scan it and e-mail it to me?

Hope this helps POP.

TAC is hard to get in stores in MI But if its the best powder I will have to work up new loads in time.

I have been using H4895 and just 46.8grs to get the horady 200gr spire point to 2488fps and where I use it for deer (less than 200 yards) its just fine. But the 225gr Partition load of 46.5grs is 2430fps and for elk/moose and for reaching 300 yards with still good velocity I would like it going 2500 fps at the muzzle.

My barrel is 20 1/2 inches so what you get is very close to what I'll get please share your findings.

Barness makes note that lever action loads may require a slightly lower powder charge to make extraction more reliable

I had that magazine until I gave it to my uncle so he could load for his 338 I swapped over to TAC in my 350RM and gained 150FPS and now am shooting the 225 TSX at 2750 FPS. So far I really like Ramshot powders, I use TAC and Big game.
