You are full length resizing or just bumping the shoulder a couple of thousandths using a full length die?
I used to full length size every time and would get 3 to 5 loads before seeing too much stretch in cases
I will give another thumbs up for the limbsavers. I have a bad shoulder and they help quite a bit. As of yet, I will not let my surgeon touch my shoulder. I have seen too many people have more problems after surgery because it is hard getting appropriate physical therapy afterwards unless you...
Can anyone help me with a 325 WSM using H4350, 23 inch barrel? Looking at both 180 BTIPS and 200 Accubonds. I want to try for a powder that is a little more temperature stable. Thanks in advance.
It was kinda cute. She was used to punching the bull almost continuously while working on her shooting form. She thinks load workup is for the birds since you don't always hit the bullseye. I was trying to explain why that happens and she was having none of it. She just told me to load lots...
My wife has finally found some time to get to the range with me recently. Barrel is broken in, wife is broken in with the rifle, and today she started OCW on the 55 BTip over Varget.
23.0gn Varget
23.5gn
24.0gn
24.5gn
and 25.0gn
PDogs need to look out. And I need to stay home...
Here is a quick writeup about 4451. I am waiting for fall to drop the temperatures here a bit so I can clock 4451 and 7797 to see how temperature insensitive they really are. Fingers are crossed.

That is some nice shooting. Absolutely love how the 95 BTips are looking for you, they shoot nice don't they. Hope you get to try them out on a deer soon.
Both are shooting very well and both are capable of shooting bugholes, the Lilja much more frequently. The factory barrel tends to hold more copper than the Lilja. I just thought I would check to see if the new Enduron powder really did help reduce copper fouling. This wasn't a scientific...
Was shooting Accubonds in the 7 rem mag and 7 STW. Ran 15 rounds through the factory rem mag using IMR 7977 and 15 through the STW with a Lilja barrel using IMR 7828. Was cleaning the barrels this evening and decided to do a little experiment. Cleaned with Boretech Eliminator.
The 9...
I will add, I load 55, 70, and 95 BTips in my 243. We'll marked boxes keep them apart. PDogs get the 55, song dogs get the 70, and prairie rats get the 95.
95gn Hornady SST is pretty close to the BTip in my rifle, run it over IMR 4350. Haven't hunted with the SST though so I don't have first hand experience with it. The 95 BTip is slick for small to medium sized deer.
Thanks for the ideas. This is the first Ruger bolt gun I have worked with. I took down the bolt and cleaned, lubed, and reassembled it. Not too much grime or old lubricant in it. It is still stiff but is improved. Gonna keep working the action to see if that helps. I do see a significant...
Not terribly experienced, but if I am tweaking depth to tighten groups up I am usually pretty close to the optimal seating depth for the load. 0.005 usually works the best. If I go every 0.010 I usually end up back tracking pretty quick.
