    My M2/M80 ball .30-06 M1 Garand Load

I have 2 Garands and an 03A3. I'm running H4895, CCI 34s and 168 Hornady BTHPs. Both Garands have new Criterion barrels and consistently shoot under 2 MOA. One rifle is a 42 SA CMP Special the other is a 45 SA that was rebarreled by a smith in Austin Tx that shoots service rifle matches. The...

    Elk, take the shot?

Hunting elk I'd have my Mdl 70 in 7STW in my hands. I'd try and get proned out over my backpack as well if possible. I'd hold the Vertical stadia in the reticle so it covered his right front leg and the crosshairs high on the shoulder. Rifle is zeroed at 250. Figure it's gonna drop about 7...

    A Relic

I had a 300 Win Browning A Bolt that kicked like 2 mules, gave it to my brother. Then I bought a 300 Bee that was much more pleasant to shoot from a recoil standpoint. Guess it was a stock design/fit issue between the two of them. Fella offered me a couple hundred more than I had in it so off...

    Best Bird Hunts and locations

We've heard rumors that when they get back to NoDak they seem to get plumb stupid. A buddy of ours went up there a few years back and shot thirty 25 round boxes of Hevi Shot in a day. He had to drive a couple hundred miles to find enough steel shot to hunt to hunt the next two days. I hear ya...

    Best Bird Hunts and locations

Killed my first mallard drake with a .410 in Gueydan, La at 7 years old. That was 1969. Since then I've been an avid waterfowler. Mallards in flooded timber or a willow break on a bright sunny day, man that used to be the icing on top of the cake. Until hunting them in dry fields in Missouri...

    Seeking a gas-op 20-gauge

I'm a B gun fan myself. Beretta and Benelli that is. Had a Browning Gold 20 that was incredibly soft shooting, mainly due to the fact it was as heavy as a 12 ga and subsequently handled like a 4x4 post. Got rid of it and replaced it with a Beretta 391 20 ga. Light, lively handling and recoils...

Every gun shop should offer this service

I'm at work at my coworkers are wondering what I'm laughing do hard at !!! I told Mrs HTDuck the other day " if something happens to me don't you dare sell any of my guns for what I told you I paid for them. Call Creedmore, he knows what they're worth ! "

CRF - how important is it?

To me, not at all. I own one CRF rifle, an Interarms MKX mauser in 30-06. Dad gave it to me when I was 8 years old. The rest of the battery are all Rem 700s, Tikka's and one push feed Mdl 70. I have no intention nor desire to hunt "dangerous game"

    Speaking of ugly guns......

My baby brother has a 788 in 22-250 that ain't pretty but it dang sure shoots. He doesn't hand load much anymore, relies on the inexpensive white box Winchester varmint ammo to feed it. I thinks they are 45 or 55 grain hollow points, not sure. It's been the demise of many a coyote, coons and a...

    Optics

Good glass for the money and their warranty is the real deal. Had one of their Crossfires that didn't track correctly. Sent it back and at the time they didn't have that particular scope in stock. As a replacement they sent me a Diamondback instead, which is a more expensive scope. Had the...

    Brought another toy home.

Rumor has it that Federal uses 4064 in their Gold Medal Match ammo. Can't wait to see how she shoots for you.

    Brought another toy home.

You won't be disappointed. I've got 3 T3 Lites, one of them in 308. Right out of the box they all shoot as well as any of the custom rifles I've had built.
