My calling partner and I headed south to Dilley, Texas last Saturday night to help a friend thin some coyotes on the ranch he manages.
I was using my .223 Texas Predator Posse AR. We got a mixture of young of the year and adults.
I got 3 coyotes, including a double (thanks to some quick lip...
Congrats on a great hunt and thanks for sharing the experience!
I have hunted bear in that area. Getting to see the bighorns was one of the hightlights of our hunt!

I agree about the 140's in the 7mm-08. Here are the three I took with them. My hunting partner had to borrow my '08 on the last day of the hunt to shoot his Kudu. It too, was DRT.

Hey Guy,
They did just fine in Namibia. I used the Accubonds in my .375 H&H and 7mm-08 for my six animals. These are the ones I took with the .375 using the 260 gr. AB's.
Congrats again on the bears!!

Hey Guy,
Congrats on a great, albeit short, hunt!! I think "chocolate" trumps weight here. What a good looking bear. Give John an attaboy!!
Yours is ok too!

Five us were hog hunting last weekend south of Utopia, Texas. We had a first for all of us. We were "running & gunning" hogs in the lower pastures after dark with the spotlight. Matt shot a big 250+ pound boar. The boar went down. The boar got up, wounded and PO'd. It then proceeded to charge...
Fotis,
I sure hope you don't have to leave Wyoming!! I agree about the heat there in metro Phoenix. It is hot here is south Texas, but it is REALLY hot in Phoenix. It is supposed to get to 105 there today and it is only June.
Keep us posted.........
