    2 boxs of 375 H&H

I just sold my 375 ICL Kodiak. Not sure I'll thank myself for that down the road, but it just wasn't getting used and the elk hunting trip we plan and postpone every year doesn't seem to be happening soon. So, the guy that bought it wanted both boxs of formed brass, which was loaded when I sold...

    Talk me into it......

Keep it, I've sold enough to regret it a few times.

    Bringing back the old Weatherby

Very cool project and in one of my favorite calibers too. Heirloom's like this are important to families because they provide a tangible sense of where they came from and who they are. Awesome restoration project, that is precious metal for sure. If you can't use modern brass, is it possible...

    Doe with .45 Super Glock

I like that, must be fun to hunt with a handgun.

    Kopper-kote?

Do you guys have Kopper-kote down in the US? It's a thread lubricant that is used in pipe fitting, plumbing and to lubricate drill pipe threads on drilling rigs. Anyway, it's a fairly gross substance to handle, kinda like high temp grease with powdered copper in it, gets all over and stains...

    POP / Reloader 17

If you have the time, I could really use some data for a 6.5mm RUM with 130 grn Accubonds & 140 grn Sierra Matchkings. Powder will be equivilent to H870, 8700 and us 869 (WC 860 & 868). Barrel is a SS Pacnor 30", 1-12", chamber is just a 7RUM necked down another .020" to .264". Barrel is here...

Coyotes and Wolves and the Loss of Popularity

I grew up next to Minnesota, in SE Manitoba. Minnesota's Wolf hunting ban really put alot of strain on the ecosystem in thier state and in the bordering regions of other state's and our country as well. The state of Minesota is approximately one third the size of Manitoba or 33% of the land...

    2010 Hunting Pictures

Well, this year turned out alot better than expected. I took this dandy little 5X5 @ 200 yds from my kitchen door. In my underware no less. 200 yds, HNDY 117 grn BTSP over WC 868. Darn form loads, I can't seem to use them up, then I can load Noslers. He is a nice size, Although I think he...

Makeshift bench and I am a handloader once again.

Well, after months of no time ir reloading room, I finally built a temporary bench for my press. Basically, it's a piece of 2x6 on either side of an unfinished door frame with a horizontal 2x6 across the door openin that my press is bolted to. Remove the screws from the cross piece and it gone...

    Brass ?

I have never had any problems with nickle cases in pistol brass except as mentioned they are hard to trim. I have had issues with them being brittle and hard to size. Of all the times I've had to remove a stuck case from a die, the majority of the time it has been nickle. JT

    2009 Hunting Pictures

Here is last year's buck, not a monster, but decent. I tried a skull mount, not sure I like it as much as a shoulder mount, but alot cheaper. and one with a pop can for comparision. JT.

Not ready for season this year.

Good luck to you too, Scotty. I hope you have a great season. My 257 vanguard has been pretty reliable, but one evening about 5 weeks ago I went to go out and try to find some yotes and my son let our Boxer out of the house..... In the process, the dog knocked my rifle over and it landed...

    Do you pack a handgun

If it were legal I would for the same reason as DrMike and because rights that are exercised stay rights, while those that are not don't. I don't even think I would pack anything superimpressive, just my Ruger ss blackhawk 6.5" 357 or a Norinco 1911 commander. Lean heavily to the Ruger for...

Pics: 223 AI Rem 700 VTR

I think you'll have to ask DF the technical questions, so far I have no idea. I'll be begging for load data in a few months my self when I get enough brass formed. Maybe more than a little while to get that much shooting in, judging by the past few months. JT.

Pics: 223 AI Rem 700 VTR

It took until now to get some rounds thro the 223AI.That little gun shoots very well, arond 0.75" with american eagle 55grn @ 100m. We have about 20 rounds thro the new chamber and have run a bore snake with Hoppes #9 BR copper solvent thro it after each one. My wife wouldn't shoot anything else...

Not ready for season this year.

Well, better now. 300 RUM is an sps, but still shoots 3/4 inch with Fed premium 200 grn Partitions. M 14 shoots 1.5 inch with UMC fmj and should be hitting same zero with fed 150 grn, not bad for a Norinco. The 257 was not great, but I got a bit shy after the 300, it hits pretty hard. My wife...

Not ready for season this year.

Well, season opens Nov. 1 and I am not ready. Being self employed is alot of things, but predictable it is not and I just finished a long stretch without days off and have not loaded since March. My wife and I finally moved into our own house again after selling in Oct./08 and renting until...

    My 2 new "Bees"!

Great looking Bees. LOL, that 30-378 is a great round. You are working it at full potential getting that kind of velocity out of 200 grn Accubonds. The Accubond IMO, seems to be one of the best performers for a lead core bullets @ really high velocity. I had a 30-378 in a Mk V and an unbraked...

    7mm STW - range report

The 7mm STW did very well for me with WC 860 surplus powder. I never loaded it to the STW's potential because it shot very well at around 3050-3100 with 160 AB's. I think I could have stoked it up a bit hotter if I wanted, but the rifle was a Browning A bolt synthetic that was very light and yet...
