I've got 3 Ridgelines. 2 of them shoot under MOA the other is still in box. The thinner wrist of the stock takes some getting used to.
I've read online about issues like those above but have not experienced them myself. So far I have no buyers remorse.
My grandfather hunted with a 35 Rem for many years. It was that or his 300 SAV in a 99 for the last 30 years he hunted. I had a Marlin 336 in a 35 Rem for a few years and then let it go. I wish I wouldn't have done that. I do have a Sav 99 in a 300Sav that I think I will carry for a few...
First time in my 50 year hunting history that I'm not out. We're building a house this year and I'm working on the parts that I can do to keep up with the builder. I haven't even shot a rifle since last spring..... I'll make up for loss time this next spring !!!
A co-worker who is into the long range game. He has competed while living in OK. He is talking me into a 22 Creed custom. Using Impact action and barrel of choice. He can assemble all the pieces. This would be the most $ I would have into a gun. It's a coyote gun. I could deal with this...
We have been using 243 with both bullets for many years. If in heavy cover lean towards the PT, For everything else either one is fine. I personally use the 95 BT in mine. The 95BT has a tapered jacket. Look at the photo. It mushrooms and hangs together surprisingly well.
I've been very...
I own two of the Swarovski 3.5-18x44 BT. One with the turret you are purchasing. Very happy with scopes. Just remember it's only one turn of the turret. Great for a hunting rifle.
I purchased the Walnut version in a 243W for my wife and I liked it so well I grabbed another in a 300WSM. It shoots 180 PT around 1" at 100yds. Just 3 shot groups. Its fairly light with a Vortex Razor LH on it. Its one of the few rifles I own that's not a bolt gun.
Its the only BAR I've...
We have a few 6.5s in the house. 6.5x284 in a Savage 116 SS and in a Christensen Ridgeline (my goto gun). 2 Creeds one in a 700 CDL SS and another Ridgeline. I have a 1960's vintage 700 in 264 Win Mag.
My Ridge line is loaded with 140 AB or PT. My Creed is a paper puncher with RDF. My wife...
Oh boy .... I have a 28 Nosler in a CA Ridgeline that is still in the box. Oh yea there is a Zeiss box right next to it.
This season I will get it put together but will carry something else while hunting.
That 338 Federal has all ways been a favorite since they came out. Deer and Elk probably don't like them so much. My groups with my Sako has always been in the 1" - 2" . I'm now working loads for a Sav 16 and it is more promising.
I've always considered MOA as an accurate rifle for my hunting. As I'm starting to learn "Long Range" the "MOA" should be cut in half for consistent grouping. I had a 338 Fed that was a 1.5 MOA and I took Whitetail and Elk with that gun out to 200 yds with confidence. Now that being said I...
Yep!! just east of you in Idaho, about 18" snow then rain for a day and a half !! What a mess. Been on tractor about 7 hours yesterday and tonight. About half done..... Driveway about 1/3 mile long.
