Just got the new glass mounted. The wheeler Specs said bases 30 inch lbs and rings 15 to 20 for steel. I'm gonna try to get it sighted in next week and hopefully it settles in.

Hey guys! I went to check zero on my Ruger Hawkeye 243 before deer season back in October, and it seemed to be shooting all over the place. Typically this rifle is consistently sub moa at 100 with my 85 tsx load. This time it was probably holding 3 moa. I shot my 300 wsm and it was still holding...
I've been lucky enough to have him with me for every deer I have shot. I hope to continue the trend for as long as possible!

Thanks guys! The 150 entered broad side behind the right shoulder, destroyed both lungs, and exited high in the left shoulder. He's hanging in the cooler so I will try to remember to take a couple pictures before I cut him up.

I don't post here much but I enjoy reading all the range reports, load data and hunting stories, so I figured I would try to add something to the forum! I was able to fill my Washington deer tag earlier this week. There's not much of a story but I was with my grandpa sitting on a clear cut where...
I've loading for a friends 700 .270 for a couple years now. He wanted accubonds to start with so I worked up a load with 130 accubonds and h4831sc. He shot a few deer with them but was taking a lot of neck shots. He wasn't seeing the expansion he wanted with the neck shots so I recommended we...
My model 7 7mm-08 loves 150 btips and imr4350. I loaded them as my all around load for my brother to hunt with but he hasn't hunted much since I got the load worked up. I might have to take it out and shoot a deer with it next year.

I've been using 85 tsx in my .243 and just started loading 165 ttsx in my 300 wsm. I also load 150 tsx for my friends a7 308. I have had great results seating to mag length or a little deeper. This usually seats the bullet where the top of the neck is in line with the top groove on the Barnes...
I have been working with my 300 wsm a lot recently. I have found that h4350 and 180 and 165 partitions are consistently around an inch with most loads. Yesterday day I loaded some 165 Barnes tipped tsx over imr4350 seated a touch shorter than the tikka's mag lenth. I worked up to 67 grains (68...
Thanks guys for the data. I loaded some ammo and shot today. I started low and worked up to 67 grains. Most the loads were an inch to .7 with my best load being 66.5 at about .6" 3 shot group at 100. So I will be pretty happy if that load will repeat itself.

3100 would be plenty for me. At this point I'm just looking for a load that is consistently sub MOA. I need just one go to load instead of changing my mind on loads all the time. Haha

I have 165 gr tipped. From what I have read from Barnes the ogive on the 165 is better suited for the 300 wsm than the 168. I've messed around with 180s and got decent/acceptable results and have done the same with 165 partition. Most groups have been .7 to 1.25" at 100. I have a couple decent...
Hello again! I have been continuously working with my tikka 300 wsm and some different handloads. I've been running 180 partitions and ballistic tips since I bought the gun-" and Most loads I shoot out of it for 3 shots hover right around an inch with these bullets and h4350. I have been wanting...
The .243 win is my favorite caliber! Easy to load for, easy to shoot and is pure death on whitetails and coyotes. I have been running 85 grain Barnes TSX over H4350 in my ruger and have taken 4 deer with that load so far. The Barnes seems to expand and penetrate well. Plenty of blood on the the...
Perfect! I will have to put some rounds together when I get some time. The guy at the gun show did have a couple more bags of these bullets I believe. After doing a little research I think they are the Winchester pp. If I can't get them to shoot or decide to run the 180s instead I will let you...
Well I weighed the bullets and they are 250s. So I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. I will put up a couple pictures of the bullets in case some one recognizes them. I appreciate the help, thank you!
