Hi All,
Anybody have a load for a 270-308 loaded for 130gr Nosler BTs. That is a 308 necked to 270.
They were popular before the 7-08 came out. But there is limited to no data on them these days. Anyone out there showing their age and know of a good load.
A very popular word in Australia at the moment that equates to "Darn" is the word "Bugger" and that is what my reaction to this is.
Thanks for clarrifying that for me.
P.S. Did you get one of those knives. Bugger! I didn't.
You mean to say, all those Nosler fans out there and nobody knows where to buy one of these Nosler knives?
Come on guys, surely there is some one with a clew as to where to get one.
Hi,
A while ago Chuck Pritchard was ut in Australia doing a great job of prmoting Nosler. He had a few solid blade Nolser hunting knives. They are not available in Aust. Where can you get one. Many web based and mail order stores in the US do not sell to overseas. Natchez does but doesn't...
G'ddayAll,
Thanks for your answers. At $105 for 100 cases i would not have thought I needed to chamfer, size and true the necks. That's not a good add for Nosler.
But thanks for the answers.
G'dday All from Australia, :)
I bought two boxes of Nosler 22-250 brass a while ago (number inside box - 95359535628 & FC13B11) When I loaded in some Nosler 52gr Shot & 55gr BTs I get a fine wire of copper stripped from the bottom of the round. I take great care to get the projectile straight...
I just had a post from an Aussi hunting forum and one guy quoted from the latest Nick Harvey reloading manual as follows:
50gr. Spitzer SD 0.142 BC 0.195
52gr. HPBT SD 0.148 BC 0.221
55gr. Spitzer SD 0.157 BC 0.219
They are only in .224. Apparently they are great 300 yd head shot vehicles...
Sounds like they are just for the Aussi market like one guy told me. When i get an answer I will post it. So far I have been told they have a BC of about .230. Apparently the SHOT stands for sport, hunting or target.
They market a very good projectile here called Nosler SHOT. The kangaroo hunters use them because they are so accurate and do a great job opening up on the target.
Can't find the BC for these projectiles. Can anyone answer this question.
Thanks
