I recently purchase a Riihimaki Sako that has the Kuharsky scope mounts but the instructions didn't come with it. I'm trying to figure out how much each click adjusts the scope. I don't have a bore sighter handy and was wondering if anyone knows off hand.
I'm in the Northeast corner of Pennsylvania and if I can talk my Mom and Dad into moving with us I'd be out of here faster than a bullet 80 grain TTSX bullet out of a .257 Weatherby Magnum.
Thanks for the info. FOTIS, my Accumark .338-378 likes the 200 grain Accubonds and Combined Technologies Ballistic Silver Tips. The load I'm using is a 215 Federal Gold Medal primer and 112.0 grains of RL-25. I got this load from Nosler when I got my Accumark when the first came out and I...
Overall is this a real picky round to load for meaning does it generally group a variety of powders and head combinations well or does it end to like just one or two specific combinations?
My Brother's girlfriend bought him a Weatherby Accumark in .338 Lapua for Christmas and I'm elected to load for it. I was thinking about starting off with either the 200 or 225 grain Accubonds because he's going to be using it for deer and his longest shots will be around 200 yards max, he...
Does anyone know how to sharpen the cutter head on a RCBS Trim-pro manual case trimmer? I got a new one but would like the sharpen the old one to have it for a spare.
As we all know uniformity is a major component to accuracy and I was wondering how often you guys trim your cases. I always trim mine after the second loading in order to keep everything uniform. Maybe I'm being obsessive but it works for me. What do you guys think?
That's a nice set up and you're very well stocked. Heck you're stocked better than my local Gander Mountain and quite a few other shops for that matter.
A friend of mine asked me what difference in the point of impact does a cannelure make in two of the same bullets, say for an example a Nosler .338 caliber 210 grain Partition that's fired out of the same rifle. I know the purpose of the cannelure but never thought about his question. I also...
Nosler has stopped making the 200 grain Ballistic Tips but they still make the Combined Technologies Ballistic Silver Tip. The only difference as per Nosler is the Combined Technologies Ballistic Silver Tips have a Lubalux (not sure I spelled that right) coating and a greyish silver tip. I've...
I wouldn't hesitate to get any heads from Hornady. They are very well made and reasonablly priced. I would also suggest you check out www.shootersproshop.com for some blemished Noslers. This is a site Nosler runs and sells over runs and blemished (only defects are in appearance - not as shiny...
I must admit that I'm one of the guys who loads the Ballistic Tips in the .300 Weatherby Magnum. It's a very accurate load, doesn't do excessive damage, and never lost any thing I've ever shot with it. Actually I load Ballistic Tips for my .300 Winchester Magnum (180 grain), .300 Weatherby...
The reason for my question is I saw on Midwayusa that Nosler is loading 180 grain Ballistic Tips in the 8mm Remington Magnum. I have to think that Nosler did their homework to make sure they will work and if they didn't they wouldn't be loading them. Now I'm not saying heavier bullets wouldn't...
I've loaded 200 grain Ballistic Tips in a .338-378 Weatherby Magnum and they weren't bad. On deer out to 150 yards you have to hit them in the neck or you end up with big holes, past 150 yards they don't make big holes compared to the .338 Winchester Magnum or even the .340 Weatherby Magnum.
I haven't gotten to read all your posts regarding all your tests but have you tried the 180 grain Ballistic Tips? If you have what is the accuracy of them compared to the 200 grain Accubonds?
