    Flaig's Rifles

My topic is about "Flaig's" guns. I have read all the posts on other forums about the Gunsmith - Charley Flaig - (his history, affiliations, etc.) the location of his shop (old German-style lodge / gunsmith shop, etc.) in PA. The custom work he did, etc. It was apparently Disneyland for...

    Succesful hunt - damaged ammo

Good evening all. Just completed a successful Whitetail hunt in Tennessee - 1 doe and 1 buck (8 point). One shot each, 40 yards and 160 yards, respectfully. Both shots were through and through, no bullets recovered. Both dropped within 50 feet. Rifle - Nosler Custom Rifle, 280 AI. Nosler...

    Rebarrel A Vanguard to 26Nosler

I had the same thought. Contemplating rebarreling a SS Win 70 (300 Win Mag) to 26 Nosler. I've looked over the SAAMI drawings and it looks like a straight barrel swap. Pac-Nor already lists the 26 Nosler on their site.

    Varmageddon Rifle - Finally Received

I work at Belvoir. Get to Fredericksburg fairly often - when I can catch 95 unjammed - which thinking about it is not all that often. Is there a public range on Quantico? I work with a Retired Marine who went to Sniper School - I want to get him on a range and see what he's got - maybe pick...

    Varmageddon Rifle - Finally Received

A couple replies: To SJB358 - Plan to use it for varmints (but not in Fairfax County where I live) and target/plinking - better and cheaper than most - still can't find any 22LR in the stores. I was in Alabama last weekend and dropped a Mauser project gun off at a Blacksmith friend for a...

    Varmageddon Rifle - Finally Received

I recently received my Varmageddon rifle from Nosler. Here are some initial observations and thoughts. Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF) – It’s really boring – Seriously folks – It took six shots and two adjustments to get it spot-on at 100 yards. Then it was just about impossible to miss with. My...

Mounting a Malcolm Scope - NEED INFO

I have an 1877 Sharps (45-70) with the appropriate long range tang sights. Thinking about mounting a Malcolm scope, but there aren't any mounts available for my rifle. I think their front mount will work in the front sight dovetail, but the rear is going to be problematic - round barrel with a...

hey nosler, next caliber for rifle!!

I'd love to see a rifle in 375 H&H Mag. Great for Alaska or Africa, plus it passes the Two Dot test. Is the NCR action long enough? To be a DGR it would need CRF. Is that too much to ask...retool the factory boys! I'll buy the first one.

    280AI Received

Despite my best efforts, I have failed miserably to post the pics. Probably shouldn't tell that I work for a company with IT in the name!!! Help please.

    280AI Received

I ordered in April (I think) and my SN is a low double digit. At the time I told Kyle I was in no hurry as I live in London and didn't know when I would be in the US to accept delivery. As it happened shortly after I was notified it was finished I had a business trip so arranged for them to...

    280AI Received

I received my 280AI last weekend and wanted to post a few first impressions. 1. Amount of time to receive the rifle. Given the overall quality and the fact that Nosler aims for perfection I can find no fault in their ensuring everything is done right - the first time. 2. Quality...

What caliber should the series four Nosler rifle be?

OK call me old fashioned and sentimental (I used a sporterized Mauser 98 to kill my first White-tail in Tennessee...more than a few years ago). The NCR in this caliber would be a great "nod" to the legacy of the '98.
