Scotty, yes so far so good. To clarify it is a Marlin made xs7 before remington purchased them. There is some chatter on the marlin forum about issues now that remmy bought them.

Recently purchased a marlin xs7 in 243 for my son. So far I'm impressed with the gun for the money spent. Shoots good and decently put together.

Very happy with mine although I've only punched paper with it. I'm shooting 250gr barnes T-EZ with blackhorn 209. Scope is bushnell xlt 3x9x40. Very easy to clean, the breakopen action is nice. Have read a lot of good reviews on it as well. Group is at 100yds.
