Hi Mike. If not too much hassle, can you please run the following through your QL program?
Thank you, Sir!
240 WBY
RL-26
95 Nosler BT
F210M
3.12 OAL
24 inch barrel.
Don't blame ya Dr Mike if you start billing me. :) Anyway, when you have a moment, can you please run a QL for the following? Just picked up a new 270 Wby and trying to sort out some loads.
270 Weatherby
140 Nosler Accubond
F215GM
26 in barrel
3.30 OAL
Thank you Mike!
Thank you again Mike.
Not sure why, but I'm not seeing the data on the 130 AB's with 7828ssc. I'm seeing the 140 AB/7828 data you posted, but not the 130AB's and 7828.
Dr Mike! Can always count on you to come through. Much appreciated.
Would it be too much trouble to run the same data, but using IMR 7828 SSC instead of the MRP?
Thanks Mike!
Could one of you QL gurus please run me some numbers on the following data?
Thank you in advance.
240 Weatherby Mag
24 in Barrel
Norma MRP
95 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip
F210-GM
3.12 OAL
Thank You again!!
I had an 8-twist 6-06, which is nearly identical in case capacity to the 6-284 and I used 240 Wby data with zero issue. The 240 Wby does NOT have the long freebore of the other Wby cartridges, therefore doesn’t present any issue in your case when using it’s loading data. The 240’s freebore is...
Rem,
I have a Vanguard Wilderness in the 240 Wby. Even though every rifle is different, I'd suggest giving RL-26 a try. This powder has worked extremely well with a variety of different bullets in my 240...better than any other I've tried. In fact, my most accurate load, which is also my Coyote...
Grab some RL25 and your 115 BT's and live happily ever after. Bullet is much tougher than most think. Run mine at 3400fps and they hold up surprisingly well at distances under 200 yds. The 115 BT is absolutely deadly and puts stuff down right now.
Here's one recovered from a Texas Whitetail...
IMR-7828 for 130's. Seems to be the default, go to powder for many who use the 270 Roy. I can attest, as its consistently provided the best combination of speed and accuracy in my gun. Expect top notch accuracy and an easy 3400-3500 fps with 7828 and the 130's.
I don't shoot them very often...
Thanks guy's for the compliments. Yes, I'm definitely a fan of Axis meat and am admittedly somewhat of an Axis meat snob. I'm not much interested in Whitetail anymore. Ha! My wife and kiddos are much the same. :)
I've been seeking to add one of these guys to my trophy room for quite sometime. Have been on a handful of low fence Axis hunts over the last 5 years, but haven't been presented with the opportunity to shoot a decent buck. Darn things are like ghosts. If you've ever hunted Axis, I'm sure you can...
Hello Gent's,
Could one of you Quick Load aficionados please run the following data using RL-25?
Thank you much!! :)
Request 1).
240 Weatherby
24 in Barrel
RL-25
95 Nosler Ballistic Tip
3.15 COAL
CCI-200
Request 2).
Same as above, but utilizing the Nosler 90 gr Accubond.
Thank you Again!
I'm using Nosler's G1 data of .379 and a CED Pro Chrono. Yes, I used my local elevation and also input the baro pressure and temp from an airport weather service nearby. As for measuring scope height, I don't have a telescoping gauge to measure it, but feel the method I'm using is somewhat close.
