I load my 45-70 with cast and coated 405gr. bullets. Great loads and you can tailor the power from easy to eye-opening. I also load revolvers with cast and coated bullets. IMHO coated cast bullets are the way to go nowadays if you are shooting lead.

I have an Original Contender 357 Max barrel. Love the cartridge. Got the best performance out of the 180 gr Hornady SSP bullet over AA1680.

I have a batch of Nosler 338 brass and a sample of 5 averages 90.4 grs H2O. A batch of Hornady comes in at 88.9... A batch of Norma I haven't water tested but weighing the dry fired cases puts it roughly between the Nosler and Hornady... For what it's worth.

Same thing for me. I can't answer your Degressivity question but the update that added IMR 4451 to the powder base has a much faster burn rate factor than even IMR 4895. That doesn't match my own chrono and load data...

I believe that the test barrels used by bullet and powder manufacturers are "blueprinted" to the small side of the respective bore tolerances. So they get to higher pressures (and velocities) at lower pressures. If you look at the old load manuals they normally tested on production firearms...

This morning I installed the Quickload 3.9 update that contains the Enduron Powder data. The 2 Enduron powders I have experience with are IMR 7977 and IMR 4451. Back checking my records, the predictions for IMR 7977 in the 7mm RemMag are pretty spot on to my own data less than +/- 10fps...

I have used it in the 338 Mag with 250gr Accubonds, 250gr Part, 200gr. Accubond, and 210gr. Sciroccos. Good Accuracy although I didn't push it hard yet. Chronographing it, I find it's slightly slower that H4350 although the published data indicates it is faster. ???

Look at Hodgdon's website. They have data for similar weight bullets although different make. I think you could use that data for Nosler bullets. They of course have H110 data also...

I think so too. good compromise given the 1-10 twist. Should work with the calibers from 257 Bob through 25-06 and the 251 WBY... BTW: The 100 grain Swift Scirocco is an awesome bullet. tough and sleek.

I see there is a Quickload Version 3.9 available. Anyone have it now and if so what new data is in it? Looks like it does require Windows 10 to run.

Quickload doesn't have the ELD-X bullet data in it. At least my copy doesn't. However if you can measure the bullet's overall length, The diameter of the small end of the boat-tail and the length of the boat-tail , can maybe create the records. The BC also needed.
