I have been loading 24 grains of CFE223 with some success, but would like to experiment with additional powders not listed in Nosler #8.

Has anyone used other powders/loads for this set up?

Excellent results with 75gr bthp out to 600yrds with IMR8208

Varget, H4895, and Vn140 are all "standard" choices with the 68 bthps in this caliber and twist. 8208 is also developing a following. I would try one of these 3, and reference 68gr 5.56 data with the usual safety precautions, assuming you have a wylde or NATO throat.

Given the low BC and intended application of the BSB, wringing absolute top velocity and accuracy should be secondary to developing a reasonably accurate and highly consistent load.

I've been loading 25 grains of TAC with my 65 grain Sierra BTSP's. It's a ball powder, meters great, and provides excellent accuracy.
