Planning on testing these in a Contender. Using a 21" 30-30 barrel I have put together a load that runs 2533 fps and is a tackdriver. It gets just under 1900 fps at 200 yards. I could get a little more speed but I plan on letting my Grandaughter shoot it and the Contender is pretty light. In the next few days I will do a 100 yard jug test using 5 jugs She won't get a shot at a deer past 75 yards but I might use it out to 175 yards myself. I also have some 110 CX Hornady bullets but these Nolser Mono's shoot so well I would like to hunt them.

Last year I ran the Barnes 110gr TTSX out of my 30-30. I would guess the E-Tip would behave the same.

Another bullet you could try is the Barnes TAC-TX 110gr for the 300 Blackout that does really well in 30-30's. It fully expands at low velocity and does a number on deer and hogs. A guy in TX who killed a lot of deer and hogs with a 30-30 Contender carbine loved that Barnes bullet. Just another option if the E-tip or CX don't work out for you.
