110gr TTSX

Looks great. That should dump the biggest deer with ease.

Congratulations on the doe. It does appear that the bullet worked, and that would indicate that you put it in the right spot. I would surmise that the bullet disrupted the lungs, putting an end to her efforts fairly quickly.

This morning I got another doe with the 30-30. This time I had to track it. Shot at 80yds and it did a death run of 60 yds. If it wasn’t for the snow finding it would have been a chore. Very little blood to follow. Bullet chewed up the vitals , just didn’t leak much out on the run.

The 110 grain TTSX is my go-to bullet for whitetail deer and culling elk cows. I run it in my 06 at 3500 fps and have for many years. Shot over 200 whitetail and maybe 50 cow elk. It is a lightning bolt. Never have to do any tracking, which is important when culling deer or elk. My hunter last week shot a 200"+, 6 year old bruiser at 75 yards. Lights out, dropped in his track from a frontal heart shot.
