Hey all,

just got a rifle back from the smith that has been gone for quite a while and happens to be my favorite, so I think I need to play with it a bit. Historically, 130 and 150 Partitions have both shot wicked accurate with both 4831's, but Im feeling like playing with the 140 AccuBond as a perfect medium. I realize there isnt much difference but wanted to know what combinations others are using or have used with the .270 and 140 AccuBond. Which powders and what velocities? Im thinking of H4831, RL 22, IMR 7828, and IMR 4831. Any thoughts guys? Thanks for playing along!

That¨s almost my load.-Remy700 low serial#,20in.-
AccuBond 140gr, h4831 56gr,ccibr2,Rem Cases=tiny groups.

My .270 is a ruger No. 1 and has a 21 inch barrel. Most loads tend to shoot on the fast side out of it compared to other .270's Ive played with, so Im wondering what velocities you guys have gotten, if youve chrono'd them. Im especially curious about the H4831 loads and their velocities... Hey, thanks guys!

my remmy had a 22" and with h4831sc I was getting 3100fps w/140's and 2950fps w/150's. Rl-22 was giving the same velocities, but slight and I mean a slight accuracy advantage.

I'm getting 2950fps with 59 grains of H4831SC and 140 AB's. 22" barrel.
Work up accordingly of course.

I get just under 3300ft/sec using Retumbo in my 270WSM 24" barrel with 140gr Accubonds. Groups @ 0.217" for a 5sgot group @ 100 metres.
